Since its start as an early access game in September 2022, Gameloft has made significant improvements to Disney Dreamlight Valley. After pivoting away from a planned free-to-play model, the full version of the game launched on December 5, 2023. Over the last couple of years, the developer has released various expansions for Disney Dreamlight Valley, the latest being Wishblossom Ranch on November 19. While these expansions are paid DLC, the game receives free updates that add new characters and items. In addition, free codes are sometimes given out that let players redeem special gifts to use in the game.

This latest code comes as a gift to celebrate the new year and could help players decorate their valleys. It is worth noting that it is unclear how long the code will be available for. With this in mind, players should take advantage of the promotion as soon as possible to make sure they can claim the gift.
Fortunately, redeeming codes in Disney Dreamlight Valley is relatively easy and should only take a few seconds. The process can be done completely in the game and involves going to the Settings menu. From there, players can select the Help submenu. This brings up the Redemption Code option, where the code to redeem the New Year Community Lanterns can be entered. It is worth noting that players must check their mailboxes for the item, as it will not automatically appear in their inventory. More Content is Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley in 2026
While 2025 might be over, Dreamloft does not appear to be slowing down, as more content is expected in 2026. In October, the developer unveiled a roadmap for Disney Dreamlight Valley, revealing some of what to expect in the first half of the year. Specifically, early 2026 is expected to introduce Lady and the Tramp content. This will be followed by Pochantas and Hercules-themed free content updates in spring and summer, respectively. These should bring some more popular characters for Disney Dreamlight Valley players to add to their valleys.
Hopefully, Gameloft will continue to release new promo codes for Disney Dreamlight Valley players to redeem in 2026. In the meantime, players can use the latest code to claim the New Year Community Lanterns to add a festive touch to their valleys.
