Disney Dreamlight Valley has tons of adorable characters you can hang out with. As players restore the magical valley, they can befriend those characters and complete their friendship quests. One of these characters is Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Unlocking Jack Skellington requires fans to complete the Something Comes a Knocking quest. During this quest, fans have to find four Matryoshka Dolls hidden around the valley. But since the valley is so big, tracking them down can be tricky.

How to Find Matryoshka Dolls in Disney Dreamlight Valley
As we mentioned above, fans will need to find Matryoshka Dolls as part of the Something Comes a Knocking quest. It’s a friendship quest for Merlin available after you complete the Miracles Take Time quest. There are four dolls in total that you’ll need to find. These are:
- Tiny Matryoshka Doll
- Small Matryoshka Doll
- Medium-Sized Matryoshka Doll
- Big Matryoshka Doll.
Sadly, the Matryoshka Dolls don’t have fixed locations, so they will be in different spots for everyone. But from what we’ve seen, one doll is always in the Plaza, while the other three can show up in random biomes. Just to be clear, all four dolls are in Dreamlight Valley. Saviors won’t find them in Eternity Isle or Storybook Vale. But luckily, they all glow, so players will be able to spot them easily.
Here are all the biomes where players can find these dolls:
- Plaza
- Peaceful Meadow
- Dazzle Beach
- Forest of Valor
- Sunlit Plateau
- Glade of Trust
- Frosted Heights
- Forgotten Lands.
As soon as you grab the first doll, the quest kicks off. You can talk to Merlin right away to see what’s going on or keep looking for the rest. Either way, players will have to check in with him at some point. When you do, he’ll reveal that something strange is happening in Forgotten Lands and even drop a hint that a new character is on the way.
Once you’ve found all the dolls, go to Forgotten Lands and look for the tree with a pumpkin carving on it. The tree’s location is random, but it’s also easy to spot because of the carving. Once you find it, interact with it and insert the dolls one by one. This will unlock Jack Skellington. You can then welcome him to the valley, snap some selfies, place his house, and talk to him again to complete the quest.
