While most events usually take place in the Dreamlight Valley, players must head to the Haunted Floating Festival to complete the 2025 Halloween event in DDV. You may need to come back to the valley for certain puzzles, so keep that in mind.
To travel to the Haunted Floating Festival island, make sure to speak with Merlin, who will guide you to the teleport portal in The Plaza, or simply open the event tab in the main menu and press Teleport. Dreamers need to solve all the Haunted Floating Festival puzzles to complete the event and earn rewards. There are three puzzles available from the start, while the rest unlocks later on.
How To Solve Ghostly Critter Puzzle In DDV
To solve the Ghostly Critter puzzle in DDV, feed the blue Fox a Haunted Skeleton Fish. The fish is the Fox's favorite food, and it spawns near Zero's house between the two giant trees with door knobs. This rewards a memory orb that unlocks one section of a memory.
You need to keep feeding the blue Fox, Zero, every day for three more real-life days to reveal the full memory. Once the picture is complete, players need to find the location of the golden dig spot and dig it up to get the Clawed Foot Tub Furniture. Judging by the small revealed section, the dig spot will most likely be near the haunted mansion on the island.

The solution for the Combination Pillar puzzle in Disney Dreamlight Valley is Spiderweb (1) → Bat (2) → Witch Hat (3) → Cat (4). Around the Haunted Floating island there are 4 squares with the correct combination.
Each square has a photo and a number of pumpkins near it. You need to match the picture with the number of pumpkins to roll the dice in the pillars using the correct order. Completing the Combination Pillar puzzle in DDV rewards the Haunted Festival Dress.

Dreamers must offer 20 Haunted Crow Feathers, 15 Haunted Skeleton Fish, and 10 Haunted White Roses to the Terror-rific Tree to solve the puzzle in DDV.
You can discover this information by reading the book near the headless statue behind the Howling tree. Here's how to get each item:
- Black Feather: One Haunted Crow Feather spawns every 10 minutes near the scarecrow in the corner of the island next to the pumpkin crops. (Max 3)
- Bony Fish: One Haunted Skeleton Fish spawns every 10 minutes near Zero's house beside the two trees. (Max 3)
- Pale Bloom: One Haunted White Rose spawns every 15 minutes near the haunted mansion, close to the combination pillar puzzle. (Max 3)
The Roses can sometimes appear behind the piano outside the mansion's fences, so make sure to check there. Giving the Terror-rific Tree all the required items unlocks it as furniture for decorations in DDV.

The haunted mansion at the festival will open its doors on November 5th. Upon entering, talk to the knight armor to start solving the final puzzle. The knight will ask Dreamers questions like how many blue pumpkins are there and how many graves are there on the island in DDV, so make sure to walk around the island and take note of the numbers of requested items.
