To trigger The Infestation Part 3 quest, Timon's final friendship quest, there are a couple of steps to complete:
- Make Timon friendship level 10.
- Make Pumbaa friendship level 10.
- Complete A Creepy Crawly Mystery quest in DDV, as it is the hidden requirement.
- Finish The Infestation Part 1 for Timon.
- Finish The Infestation Part 2 for Pumbaa.
Once all prerequisites are fulfilled, you'll unlock Timon's level 10 friendship quest, The Infestation Part 3.
How To Complete The Infestation Part 1 Quest In DDV - Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once Timon is friendship level nine, and you have completed A Creepy Crawly Mystery, The Infestation Part 1 quest is triggered. Speak with Timon and Pumbaa to devise a plan to catch the insects together. While Pumbaa searches for more bugs, you will go with Timon to The Plaza to investigate the situation.
Once you arrive, catch the remaining three insects crawling around the area where your character’s house was originally placed on the left side of The Plaza. After collecting the Night Mites, players will discover the source of the infestation in the corner of The Plaza on the left side. Interact with the nest, only to find your magic doesn't work.
Speak with Timon, who suggests asking the Forgotten. The latter reveals that you need to craft a Dreamlight Boost Tonic potion to increase your powers and also look like an insect yourself to be able to remove the source. The materials are:

Once Dreamers take the potion, craft the Night Mite Wings and equip them from the outfit menu. You also must wear black and purple clothing. Next, remove the nest in The Plaza to complete The Infestation Part 1 quest, which automatically starts The Infestation Part 2.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Unlock Timon And Pumbaa
Players need to complete three quests in order to unlock both Timon and Pumbaa in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Complete The Infestation Part 3 Quest In DDV - Disney Dreamlight Valley
After completing The Infestation Part 2, The Infestation Part 3 is triggered. Group with Timon and Pumbaa at The Plaza and go together to the Dark Castle.
Players need to clear each room of the castle from Night Mites Nests until they find the queen. The process is simple as the nests and bugs are found in plain sight. When Dreamers meet Timon and Pumbaa at the top, there will be a strange rock blocking the queen’s nest. To remove it, you need to upgrade your Pickaxe.
Open the storage next to Pumbaa to collect the Dark Pickaxe Upgrade and use it from the Inventory. Destroy the rock, catch the queen, and remove her nest. Upon returning to the village, Timon’s quest will be paused while you complete The Infestation Finale quest. Talk to Merlin and hand over all the captured Night Mites so he can make them edible for Timon and Pumbaa. Place the Neutralized Night Mite Buffet somewhere in the valley and take a picture. Finally, talk to Timon one last time to end his quest and receive a gorgeous dress.
