Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life simulation game that offers many real-life mechanics like gardening, fishing, and cooking. The Dreamlight Valley currently consists of eight biomes that are filled with different kinds of ingredients and materials. Some can be found in multiple biomes like Banana and Blueberry, whereas others like Mushrooms and Coconut only grow in one specific biome.
Because Mushrooms exist in one location, collecting a large quantity of the ingredients for some Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley is difficult. Luckily, there are other methods to collect said ingredient, one of which includes using the Watering Can.
Updated on April 20, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: While there are numerous ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley that are only obtainable through gardening or purchasing them from the stalls, Mushrooms are much easier to gather. Sadly, while it requires no chores, the material only grows in the Glade of Trust in tiny quantities. Those who are willing to take a detour can strengthen their bond with Merlin to get a Quest that allows people to remove Clusters of Mushrooms, opening more methods for getting Mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Get Mushroom In Disney Dreamlight Valley
To get Mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players can either collect some from Glade of Trust or remove some Purple Mushrooms scattered around the village.
Unlock Glade Of Trust
To unlock Glade of Trust, players must pay 5,000 Dreamlight to Merlin the Great Wizard. It is easy to spot Mushrooms on the ground because they are a group of white spots. However, the biome’s space is limited since the other side of the bridge is blocked by large Purple Mushrooms.
A quick and easy method to reach the other side is by entering the Furniture Menu in Disney Dreamlight Valley and then using the little hand to move the Wishing Well to the inaccessible area. After that, players can enter the map and click on the well to fast travel. This unlocks the other side and Saviors can use this method to harvest more Mushrooms.
How To Remove Purple Mushrooms Clusters
While exploring the world of Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are obstacles to overcome like Night Thorns, Rocks, Tree Stumps, and Purple Mushroom Clusters. To remove the Mushroom Clusters, the Watering Can has to be upgraded in Disney Dreamlight Valley by speaking with Merlin. Upon reaching Friendship level eight with the Great Wizard, A New Enchantment Quest will be triggered. There are two different missions to upgrade the Royal Can twice; A Dark Experiment and The Final Trial. The former is to level up the Watering Can to +1 whereas the latter is to make it +2.
Once the Watering Can is upgraded, players simply need to approach a small group of Purple Mushrooms and water it. This will cause one Mushroom to pop from it. On the other hand, watering a big group of Purple Mushrooms will make two Mushrooms appear instead. These groups can be located in many areas like Peaceful Meadow, Glade of Trust, and many more biomes.
A Dark Experiment Quest
Upon reaching Friendship level eight with the Great Wizard, A Dark Experiment Quest will be triggered. At first, Merlin asks players to collect the following materials:
- Mushrooms x20: Pick up from the ground of Glade of Trust.
- Emeralds x5: Use the Pickaxe to mine around the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust.
- Purified Night Shards x3: On the Crafting Station, use Night Shards x15 and Dream Shards x3 to create three Purified Night Shards.
Upon collecting all necessary materials in Disney Dreamlight Valley, Merlin will enhance the player's Watering Can, making it possible to remove small Purple Mushrooms. Another Quest will appear later on that enhances the tool further to remove the big groups of Purple Mushrooms.
The Final Trial Quest
To trigger The Final Trial Quest and upgrade the Watering Can to +2, players must reach Friendship level 10 with Merlin. Additionally, one of the requirements is unlocking WALL-E the Shy Robot. The Quest begins with Merlin asking the Protagonist to craft five Purified Night Shards. Each one requires five Night Shards and one Dream Shard, so in total:
- Night Shards x25: Found while digging sparkling spots in all the available Biomes
- Dream Shards x5: Obtained by removing Night Thorns, digging sparkling spots, or giving Critters their favorite food in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
After that, head to WALL-E to crush the shards into powder and continue the Quest.
The next step in getting Dreamlight Valley Mushrooms is to speak with Merlin again who requests that players collect the necessary materials to create an upgrade for the Watering Can.
- Mushrooms x25: The Glade of Trust or remove a small Cluster of Purple Mushrooms from Biomes like the Forest of Valor.
- Falling Water x1: Go to the sparkling spot near the waterfall in the Glade of Trust to get Falling Water.
- Ice Heart x1: Plant the Tear Seed given by Merlin and take care of the plant until it blooms into an Ice Heart.
Finally, use the Crafting Station to create the enchantment and upgrade the Royal Watering Can to +2. Now, players can remove large Clusters to get more Mushrooms in Dreamlight Valley.
