All the new features coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley were officially announced in a Developer Update. Fans of the game have been expecting Timon and Pumbaa's imminent arrival in Disney Dreamlight Valley's Jungle Getaway update since late September, when Gameloft revealed the coming update's name, though they were teased as early as January in a player satisfaction survey, with a question about what characters players would like to see added. The developer has previously indicated that Jungle Getaway won't be among the largest updates the game has seen, and the new video shows that most of the action will take place in the already-introduced Lion King Realm. Still, it will still introduce two characters fans have been requesting for a long time.
Timon and Pumbaa Will Join Disney Dreamlight Valley
Timon and Pumbaa will be in good company among the previously added members of the game's roster. Disney Dreamlight Valley already includes Simba and Nala, as well as the treacherous Scar. Announced quests involving the new duo will see players helping Timon find his inner calmness and introducing Pumbaa to pottery as a hobby. The update will also involve some quality-of-life improvements, including improving the look of Scrooge McDuck's Store by adding furniture items to replace any sold-out clothing and a choice between configurations in Edit Mode.
As for this month's new Star Path, The Night Show will be a music festival-inspired event that will include clothing options inspired by Disney villains and princes, as well as several new furniture items reflecting the rock music genre, including stages and pyrotechnics. It may not be what fans expected for the month of October, as the Haunted Holiday Star Path was released about a year ago, timing up with Halloween and bringing rewards themed around The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, and The Haunted Mansion.
