This Disney Dreamlight Valley Money-Making Strategy is…

I've been playing Disney Dreamlight Valley since the day it first launched in Early Access, and there's one thing I've learned in my 600+ hours: you can never have enough Star Coins. Disney Dreamlight Valley is filled with stuff to buy: supplies from Kristoff, gems from Aladdin, seeds from Goofy, and, of course, furniture and clothing from the Valley's greatest money-lover himself, Scrooge McDuck. Keeping up a steady supply of Star Coins isn't easy, especially with so much to buy, so I've developed a consistent strategy for racking up the gold quickly.

This strategy typically earns me several hundred thousand Star Coins over a roughly 2-4 hour period. However, it can only be carried out at certain times of day, because it includes Here and There Fish, which are only available between 6AM–10AM and 6PM–10PM. (They are also only unlocked once you reach Level 10 Friendship with Nala.) I like to start at 6PM, but, if you're more of a morning gamer, that works too. Note that this strategy may not be THE most optimally efficient, but I like it because it lets you rotate between different Village tasks like mining, fishing and gardening rather than doing the same thing for hours on end.

Before you officially begin the steps below, make sure you've done the following:

Dug holes for planting seeds in the Forgotten Lands. You can also do your digging later on, but it helps to have a field or two pre-prepared.
Cooked some Meals to make sure you don't run out of Stamina. A good Meal that's easy to make lots of is the Souffle, which is made entirely of ingredients bought at Chez Remy (Cheese, Eggs, Milk, and Butter.)

Step 1: Plant Your First Pumpkin Field

If you're a regular Disney Dreamlight Valley player, you've probably guessed that this strategy revolves around pumpkins. They're the Valley's most profitable vegetable, and that hasn't changed in the several years the game's been out. This strategy revolves around letting one field of pumpkins grow at their natural pace, then completing other money-making tasks (including planting more pumpkins) while they grow. Plus, starting with a naturally growing field lets you dig up the Rich Soil you'll need for potion-making later.

Purchase as many pumpkin seeds as you like (I tend to go for the max purchase of 99) at Goofy's Stall in the Forgotten Lands. Then, plant them in their natural biome and water them. No need to use any Elixirs - we're letting this field grow naturally. They take 3 hours and 36 minutes to grow and need watered twice, roughly every 90 minutes, so make sure to set a timer. (Note that you can also replace the first field with Okra, which grows in two hours in the Glade of Trust, if you don't want to wait for Pumpkins.)

Step 2: Mine For Vitalys Crystals

Next, Hang Out with any Villager with the Mining Role (ideally with their Mining Skill leveled up to 10 for maximum bonus drops). Then, eat some tasty food to max your Stamina bar, as that will increase your chance of getting your own bonuses. Finally, head to the Vitalys Mines in the Sunlit Plateau and mine every Mining Spot repeatedly until the timer goes off to water your pumpkins for the first time.

Once you're done, water Pumpkin Patch 1 and sell any Rubies and Sapphires from your mining endeavors. (You can sell Onyxes too if you want, but I prefer to keep them to make Miraculous Pickaxe Polish potions.) This will net you some nice bonus cash, as Rubies and Sapphires sell for 350 Star Coins and their Shiny variants for 1,400.

Step 3: Craft Miracle Growth Elixirs

Head to a Crafting Station and use the Vitalys Crystals you mined to make Miracle Growth Elixirs and Even More Miraculous Growth Elixirs. How many you are able to craft will depend on how lucky you get while mining. You probably got enough Rich Soil to craft the potions while you were digging up your fields, but, if you need a bit more, grab a Villager with the Digging Role and go to town.

Once you've crafted your Elixirs, count up how many you have. This will determine how many Pumpkins you plant. Remember that:

Each Miracle Growth Elixir can water 20 crops
Each Even More Miraculous Growth Elixir can water 50 crops

Step 4: Plant, Harvest, And Cook More Pumpkins

Head to Goofy's Stall in the Forgotten Lands and purchase as many pumpkin seeds as you have Growth Elixir charges. This may be several hundred, so feel free to save some potions for later and skip that step next time you're money farming. Also, make sure that you're Hanging Out with a Villager with the Gardening Role and that you've again eaten some Meals to maximize your stamina.

Plant, water, and harvest the pumpkins. (If your first field requires another watering during this, DO NOT do that until you have used up all the Elixir.) Because of the Elixirs, you'll be able to harvest them immediately. You should end up with a few hundred pumpkins ready to go. Now, you can simply sell them back to Goofy and earn 664 Star Coins per pumpkin, but that's not the best way to maximize your Star Coin haul.

Instead, use a Slow Cooker (or an Ancient Cooker if you have the A Rift in Time DLC) to convert all of your Pumpkins into meals. There are a couple of different profitable options, depending on what you have available in the way of extra ingredients. They are:

Vegetable Platter - Pumpkin x 3 (or Pumpkin x 5 if you have a particularly good haul)
Pumpkin Soup - Pumpkin x 2, Ginger, Milk
Pumpkin Puffs - Pumpkin, Egg, Cheese

If you want, you can repeat Steps 2-4 a second time if you feel that you have the time and energy for it.

Step 5: Fish, Final Harvest, Final Cooking

Now, with the remaining time you have until your first pumpkin patch is ready to harvest, Hang Out with a Fishing role Villager and fish for Here and There Fish. You can catch Here and There Fish in open water or white ripples in any body of water. Do NOT use any Miracle Fishing Bait, as that only causes rarer fish to appear and we're not after rare fish, just Here and Theres.

Fish until your first pumpkin field is ready to harvest. Then, switch back to Hanging Out with your Gardening friend and grab those Pumpkins from your original field. Finally, combine the Pumpkins and Here and There Fish into Grilled Fish Entrees using 1 Here and There Fish and 1 Pumpkin each. You can do this by hand at a Cooking Station or you can use the Slow Cooker if your previous set of meals are done.

Finally, sell all of your cooked pumpkin and fish meals to Goofy at any of his stall locations. (You can also sell any extra non-Here and There fish you caught and non-Rich Soil items you dug up while preparing your fields, plus the Rubies and Sapphires if you didn't do so earlier) In just under 4 hours, you've now earned several hundred thousand Star Coins, and you're ready to buy whatever Scrooge McDuck has in stock the next day.
