Summary
- Some Disney Dreamlight Valley fans are disappointed that The Night Show Star Path is not Halloween-themed.
- Others have also taken issue with the fact that the concert stage that's part of the upcoming battle pass is not walkable.
- The Night Show Star Path will debut as part of the Jungle Getaway update, which will reach Disney Dreamlight Valley on October 9.
A vocal subset of the Disney Dreamlight Valley player base has recently taken to social media to voice some grievances about The Night Show Star Path. A significant portion of these complaints appears to stem from the fact that many Disney Dreamlight Valley fans were hoping to get a Halloween-themed Star Path in October 2024.
Since its early access debut in September 2022, Gameloft's hit life sim has launched 12 Star Paths in total. These battle pass-like reward boards would usually roll out alongside major Disney Dreamlight Valley updates, with the sole exception of the DreamSnaps patch that didn't get one. Gameloft announced the game's latest Star Path, The Night Show, in early October 2024.
October 9 is Going to Be a Huge Day for Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans
Disney Dreamlight Valley has a few big surprises coming on October 9, including the introduction of two long-awaited valley residents.
Some Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Are Disappointed With The Night Show Star Path
But player reactions to this reveal have been fairly polarized. While many fans have agreed that a Star Path based on rock concerts is an interesting concept, they were disappointed with the timing of The Night Show's announcement. "Feels like the wrong season for it," wrote Reddit user Jikasbox, adding that they are unimpressed with what Gameloft has shown so far. Meanwhile, some other Disney Dreamlight Valley fans have taken issue with the fact that the central stage that's part of the Star Path can't actually be walked on and is merely a decoration.
Many of these complaints have seen fans say they are disappointed that the October 2024 Star Path won't be Halloween-themed, opining that rock 'n' roll is no longer dark and scary because "it's not the '50s anymore," as one player put it. For clarity, Disney Dreamlight Valley did announce some Halloween 2024 plans already, but rather than having them revolve around a themed Star Path, it opted to commemorate the spooky season with another round of the Trick-or-Treat event, which will once again be available from October 23 until the end of the month.
As for The Night Show, the new Star Path is set to debut as part of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Jungle Getaway update, which is scheduled to roll out on October 9. Identified by version number 1.13, this release won't be geared toward Halloween but instead introduce two The Lion King characters in the form of Timon and Pumbaa.
Although The Night Show isn't what all fans were hoping for, many of them conceded that its Moonstone and free item rewards are generous enough to motivate them to complete it regardless. Based on Gameloft's track record, the next major Disney Dreamlight Valley update and its accompanying Star Path are likely to drop in late December 2024.
