The first half of 2025 has already brought two big expansions to the cozy, Disney-branded life simulator, featuring the addition of some familiar faces. Disney Dreamlight Valley Marvel Character Wish List
With Disney owning the Marvel IP, someday players may see superheroes coexisting alongside beloved Disney characters in Dreamlight Valley.
Although many fans have been able to guess it already, the addition of Peter Pan to Disney Dreamlight Valley as a full-fledged villager will be included in the Mysteries of Skull Rock update, bringing his own set of quests. A new Developer Update video shows that players will be able to help Peter build up a new crew of Lost Boys, potentially teasing some potential crew members by displaying Vanellope, Mike Wazowski, WALL-E, and Donald Duck standing by a hand-drawn recruitment sign. The update will also include the Adventures in Neverland Star Path, which will include pirate and mermaid-themed fashions and items, and a Signature Bundle, which includes The Little Mermaid's lovable dog Max, who comes equipped with treasure-hunting skills.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Reveals Plans for Big Summer Updates
- Mysteries of Skull Rock free update - June 18, 2025
- Storybook Vale Part 2 Expansion Pass update - July 9, 2025
While fans have been anticipating the arrival of Peter Pan, his appearance won't be the first thing players experience in Mysteries of Skull Rock's story. A visit from former Disney Dreamlight Valley antagonist The Forgotten will kick off the new storyline, in which players will finally be able to fully integrate them into their village. This includes giving The Forgotten a name, getting Friendship Items, and unlocking hangouts with them. Companions who don't come equipped with specific names will be getting similar upgrades, as players will be able to name them, build up their Friendship Levels by interacting with them, and earn new rewards.

Coming on July 9, the second part of Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion will mark the return of Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent and the debut of new villager Aurora, who will play a major heroic role in the story. Storybook Vale Part 2 will also include new colors of Snippets and new Puzzling Tales, which players can complete for rewards. In addition, a newly released roadmap for the rest of 2025 teases some additional things coming to the game, with what appears to be an Inside Out-themed update in late summer, a Beauty and the Beast-themed update in the fall, and a Cinderella-themed update for Winter.
