How to Complete All Use Your Imagination Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Here’s a detailed overview of each Use Your Imagination sub-quest:
Use Your Imagination: Mickey
After you follow Mickey Mouse to Secluded Beach at The Courtyard to see one of the rifts, his Use Your Imagination quest will begin. Mickey will only think of hot dogs and ask you to craft an entire Hot Dog Cart.
These are the materials you’ll need for it:
- 8 x Brass Ingots
- 8 x Bronze Ingots
Brass Ingots can be created using three Copper, two Zinc, and one Coal Ore, and Bronze Ingots require four Copper, one Tin, and one Coal Ore. All these resources are found in Eternity Isle, and the player can mine them with the pickaxe.
Once you have these items, craft the Hot Dog Cart at a nearby crafting station and give it to Mickey, who will then ask to cook two Hot Dogs using his special Toon Dog recipe. Here’s the ingredients you need to collect:
- 2 x Venison
- 2 x Poultry
- 2 x Pork
- 2 x Wheat
- 2 x Toon Sauce
Mickey will give you the Toon Sauce, and you can collect the other items from the Isle. After making this five-star meal, hand it to Mickey. After you close the rift with him, this part will be completed.
Use Your Imagination: EVE
Another big rift is in the Ancient Ruins in The Docks. You can close it with EVE during her Use Your Imagination quest. At first, EVE doesn't feel very creative, so she asks you to seek help from WALL-E. The shy little robot gives you an old film projector and suggests making a film reel.
Now, you’ll need to take three pictures of EVE and WALL-E in the following places:
- Inside the Ancient Ruins
- Inside WALL-E’s House
- Inside EVE’s House.
After taking pictures with the adorable robot couple, you will have to craft a Film Reel using these materials:
- 8 x Plastic Scrap
- 3 x Mechanical Parts.
The protagonist can get Plastic Scrap by fishing outside bubbles in the water bodies of The Docks, The Courtyard, The Overlook, and The Ruins biomes. And Mechanical Parts can be made using one Brass Ingot and one Bronze Ingot.
When you craft the Film Reel at a crafting station, hand it to EVE and meet her near the rift to remove it and complete the step.

Back From The Bayou is a fun quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley where you help Tiana reopen her meal stall. Here's how you can complete it.
Use Your Imagination: Rapunzel
Talk to Rapunzel and follow her to Sundial Island, where one more giant rift is present. When you ask her to think of something you can create together, she imagines the iconic Floating Lanterns from Disney's Tangled movie.
To craft a Floating Lantern, you will need to get your hands on these items:
- 25 x Tropical Wood
- 10 x Bamboo
- 3 x Rope.
You can find Tropical Wood on the ground near the trees in The Grasslands, The Promenade, The Grove, and The Lagoon. Bamboo is also in these areas. To make Rope, you need eight Fibers.
After collecting all the materials, go to a crafting station and make the lantern. When you give it to Rapunzel, she'll say something is missing — a wish. So, to officially wrap up the quest, go and ask these villagers for their deepest wishes:
- Mickey
- Gaston
- Oswald
- EVE.
Once you have everyone's wishes, share them with Rapunzel. She will write them on the Floating Lantern and ask you to meet her at Sundial Island. There, she will throw the lantern into the rift to clear it, and this part of the quest will be completed.
Use Your Imagination: Gaston
To start Gaston’s Use Your Imagination quest, you will need to meet him near a rift at his camp in The Wastes. However, Gaston will have a hard time tapping into his imagination. So the player will have to talk to Oswald for help, who will suggest that Gaston recall his awesome heroic deeds to get creative.
During the conversation, the Wanderer of the Dunes will tell you about a place where he saw a shipwreck on Eternity Isle. Go there with him, but he still won't have any ideas. So, look for a higher spot; from there, he will think about a ship in a bottle.
To create it, collect these resources:
- 20 x Softwood
- 8 x Glass
Softwood can be picked from the ground near trees in Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, or The Docks, and Glass can be crafted using five Sand and one Coal Ore.
Once you have all the items in your backpack, give them to Gaston. He will then build a Ship in a Bottle, which you can toss into the rift to close it. This will end the Use Your Imagination quest.
