Dispatch is a narrative-driven adventure title where players engage with a compelling story through interactive cutscenes and dialogue choices, similar to games by Telltale. Every episode features multiple dialogue options and moments of choice. While many of these choices offer flavor without affecting the immediate outcome, some hold the potential to significantly impact the long-term story or determine the nature of your relationships with the characters you encounter.
Players often face uncertainty regarding which options carry the most weight. This guide below is to explain exactly what players should choose when prompted with the first dialogue options in the first Episode Pivot in Dispatch.
Best Protagonists in Telltale Games
Telltale Games have brought some amazing protagonists to life, enriching the stories that they inhabit. Yet, which of them are the best?
Which Dialogue Should You Choose Regarding Your Father in Dispatch?
After starting the first episode, you will have to choose quite a few options that will tailor your experience for the rest of the game. If you go for the Interactive experience, you will encounter several QTEs (Quick Time Events) throughout the episodes. Once the episode begins, you will be introduced to Robert and a soothing voice he is talking to.
At one point in the conversation, the other person will ask you: "How do you really feel about your father?" This gives you three dialogue options:
- I love my dad.
- Didn't know him well.
- He's gone.
Players can choose any one of these options without having to worry about any changes in the outcome. This is one of the choices that will not impact either the story or your relationship with any character, so it does not matter what option you select.
In the same conversation, however, you will receive another dialogue option where you can:
- Let Him Drop
- Pull Him Back
This is also not a major choice, but if you choose to Let Him Drop, you will see a slightly different interaction later on in the episode. With this information, you can proceed through the episode and enjoy as this superhero story begins to unravel.
