In Divinity: Original Sin 2, Lord Linder Kemm's vault is guarded by three Lucian's Automatons, each with the ability to resurrect itself when killed. These automatons patrol the vault, and they can be extremely challenging to take down due to their immense health pool and the frustration that arises when they resurrect back with full health.
Since these enemy types are only found in Lord Linder Kemm's vault, the lack of fighting experience against them can leave you befuddled as traditional combat strategies fail to beat them. However, there's one skill up your sleeve that turns out to be a kryptonite to these seemingly invincible foes.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - How to Get More AP
Action Points, or AP, are the most important resource to have for combat in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Here’s how to get more of it.
Deprive The Automatons Off Source
The first time one of these Automatons goes down, they enter an invulnerable state for two turns, and one of your companions will comment on the invincibility of these entities, stating that as long as there is Source flowing through them, you cannot beat them. This is your clue to defeating these guardians.
In the second act of the game, when you obtain the second Source point, you'll have the opportunity to perform Meister Siva's ritual to speak to your God and learn the Source Vampirism skill. This skill allows you to consume spirits, corpses, and even steal Source from living characters to restore your Source. However, the game does not tell you that Source Vampirism can also be used on constructs, which can prevent you from using the skill on these mechanical entities.
When it comes to defeating Lucian's Automatons, you must use the Source Vampirism while they are in the process of resurrecting. Since Source Vampirism is an innate skill, like Spirit Vision, it has no specific skill requirements to cast, making it accessible to every companion in your party.
Do bear in mind that you must be in a 6m radius of the resurrecting Automations to cast the skill effectively.

Tips On Exploring Lord Linder Kemm's Vault
Linder Kemm's vault is an important location in the city of Arx, and it includes several items that you might find useful. There's a quest associated with exploring the vault and finding three unique items: Scroll of Eternity, the Cup of Kings, and the Painting of the Divine.
The vault includes a display case with the Devourer's Helmet locked behind a lock puzzle. Several bookshelves also line up the vault, and many of these shelves include powerful scrolls, recipes, and a necromancer skillbook. You can also loot pretty much every valuable in the vault and sell them to merchants for a decent income.
The southern end of the vault includes a locked stone door, but it cannot be lockpicked. Casting Spirit Vision near the door reveals a missing painting and the spirit of a dwarven thief. Speaking to this spirit and passing either a Finesse, Intelligence, or Constitution check reveals the location of Big Tomorrah, an NPC who's hiding in the Arx sewers — a potential lead to finding the missing painting, and consequently accessing whatever lies beyond the stone door in Kemm's vault.
