Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has finally been released on Steam, but it currently has an overall rating of mixed on the storefront. The Division 2 originally came out in 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but it was exclusively available on the Epic Games Store aside from Ubisoft Connect. This wasn’t an isolated case, as many PC games were exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a set period before launching on Steam.

Ubisoft has now been releasing its games on Steam, marking the end of any exclusivity deal present for its catalog. This includes titles like Anno 1800, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Roller Champions, with Tom Clancy's The Division 2 being the latest edition to the collection. However, it looks like the Steam version of The Division 2 may have some issues, as it currently has a rating of mixed on the storefront.

As reported by TheGamer, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has a rating of mixed on Steam, with 298 reviews at the time of this writing. Looking at the negative reviews, many users state that The Division 2 has crashing issues, and this problem seems to be extremely common. One player mentions that the game crashes within the first 10 minutes, while another couldn’t even finish the first level due to this issue. As a result, some users on Steam claim to have refunded Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

Even the positive reviews for The Division 2 acknowledge the crashing problems, but they otherwise seem to have a favorable opinion of the game. Outside this issue, a few players talk about the Epic Games Store exclusivity, and thank other users for beta testing The Division 2 on PC. Just like Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Division 2 does not have support for Steam achievements, which also appears to be a sticking point for some users.

By comparison, Assassin's Creed Valhalla too has a mixed rating on Steam, while Anno 1800 is sitting on mostly positive for now. Fans should note that ratings on Steam are not set in stone, as they can drastically change depending on users’ experience with the game and the PC port. There have been cases of the overall rating changing from negative to positive in the past, so the same may happen in the case of The Division 2 if all the issues are fixed.

The Division 2 is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
