Persona5: The Phantom X has multiple large Palaces that the party will explore during the main story. Much like Palaces in Persona 5 Royal, there's a lot to explore outside of just finding the treasure, and Palaces in Persona 5 X have a lot more optional content to explore.
Exploring Palaces gives you tons of additional rewards that include Meta Crystals, making additional exploration very important. Upon sending the calling card for the first Palace, there will be a discussion about the palace possibly disappearing, no matter how much you've currently explored. Here's if Palaces really do disappear and if you can return to them later on.
What Are Persona Seals & How To Use Them in Persona 5 Phantom X?
Personas function a little differently in Persona 5 X; here's what Persona Seals are and the various ways you can use them.
Do Palaces Disappear in Persona 5 X?
Despite the conversations that are had before sending the first calling card and stealing the treasure, Palaces don't really disappear in Persona 5 X. While there is an in-game explanation that the Palace does disappear along with the treasure being stolen, players are able to return to a cognitive version of the Palace that is exactly the same and functions the same.
There are lots of rewards for exploring a Palace and progression-related rewards for the percentage you explore, and all of this carries over to the cognitive version of the Palace. There is no penalty or issue with finishing the main story of a Palace quickly and worrying about exploration later.
For the first Palace, players can easily clear the story of the Palace and steal the Treasure before reaching 40% exploration.

How to Return to Palaces in Persona 5 X
If you just completed the first Palace, you'll need to complete the next main story mission, where you head into Mementos to discover the Chamber of Recollections. After discovering this location through the story, it will appear as an option in the Mementos main menu as a small circular option on the right side of the current Palace option.
The Chamber of Recollections is found in Path of Qimraunt Area 1, first appearing after finishing the first palace.
- Progression rewards are given every 10% of a Palace.
- Some Plan ranks require specific Palace exploration.
- Gold Tickets are found in Palaces and are arguably the most important thing to find there.
Going to the Chamber of Recollections will give you a list of all completed Palaces and the current percentage of exploration for each one. The Chamber of Recollection will only display Palaces that have "disappeared", as the current one you're working on in the story appears in the usual slot in the Mementos menu.
