How to Break Neptunite in DK Bananza (Canyon Layer)

As you make your way through Donkey Kong Bananza's story, you'll eventually find yourself at the Canyon Layer, specifically SL300. If you're following the mission objectives, one of the last ones will be to 'Enter the Smokestack' at the Click-Clack Smokestack Roof checkpoint.

You can climb the rotating cylinder to smash the void monkey key thing at the top, but before you do that, you can find a special rock called Neptunite that covers the entrance to a challenge room. If you're having trouble breaking the stone, you can use this guide for assistance.

You can see the name of a material in DK Bananza by picking up a piece of rock/dirt with ZR and then holding it to aim.

How to Break Neptunite in Canyon Layer - Donkey Kong Bananza

So, you actually won't be able to break the Neptunite by tossing rocks or transforming into Kong Bananza. All you need to do is speak to the nearby Constructone with a safety hat.

They'll mention that the ruins are blocked off, but if you pay the Constructone 600 Gold (which is nothing for DK!), they'll blow up the Neptunite so you can finally enter the challenge room.

Knotted Thorn Knockout (Banana 58)

Once you smash your way into the challenge room, you will have to defeat two Stompoids to earn yourself one Banandium Gem. You can just avoid their spiky bodies and toss rocks at them, and they should be gone before you know it. There is a timer, though, so try to be speedy. Of course, you can always try the challenge again if you fail.
