In his journey to reach the Planet Core of the Underground World in Donkey Kong Bananza, DK must go through several map layers and complete different challenges to progress through the story. One of these is collecting the Banandium Gems, collectibles scattered across various and sometimes trickier parts of the maps. These items grant valuable skill points to strengthen the character and while collecting them all isn’t mandatory, players should find at least a few.

So, if the adventure has reached the final section of the Lagoon Layer and there’s any doubt about an item that might have been left behind, this guide covers every Banana found in SL102 of Donkey Kong Bananza. The good news is that, after two layers filled with content spread across the map, this one offers fewer collectibles, serving as a small relief before DK and Pauline dive deeper into the Planet Core of the Underground World.

The Banandium Gems listed here are only available during the main playthrough and do not include any postgame content.

Donkey Kong Bananza: All Banandium Gem Locations In Lagoon Layer SL102

Banandium Gem #51 – Dipped Into Chimpy Channel!

The first Banandium Gem available in Sublayer 102 of the Lagoon Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza appears right in the initial area after unlocking the game’s first transformation, Kong Bananza. Players must destroy the path ahead to reach it. This spot holds a bundle containing 3 gems for players to collect.

Banandium Gem #52 – Pop And Destroy

Three different Banandium Gems can be found during the same challenge in SL102, Pop Party Challenge Course 3. For the first one, players must locate and destroy 5 balloons scattered across the course. While the first four are relatively easy to find, one remains hidden in plain sight.

To uncover it, players must locate a rotating platform and press B to make DK slam downward, revealing a small underground room where the final balloon of Pop Party Challenge Course 3 is hidden. After popping it, the Banandium Gem #52 becomes accessible.

Banandium Gem #53 – Atop The Concrete Roof

The second Banana from SL102’s Pop Party Challenge Course 3 in Donkey Kong Bananza is located on the upper roof of the room where the challenge takes place. To reach it, players must break through walls that lead outside the area and then use the surrounding concrete walls to climb up and find the gem at the top of the structure.

Banandium Gem #54 – Hung From The Ceiling

This Banandium Gem can easily go unnoticed, especially due to its tricky placement in SL102 and the chance that the camera may not reveal it. While searching for the five balloons to destroy, DK must also look toward the ceiling of Pop Party Challenge Course 3 to spot Banandium Gem #54. Once located, use the metal platform to reach and collect it.

Banandium Gem #55 – Shipwrecked Treasure

The final Banandium Gem in SL102 of Donkey Kong Bananza requires players to break through more walls. After exiting the Pop Party Challenge Course 3, destroy the wall in the direction opposite the challenge room to discover parts of a wrecked ship. Banana #55 lies on the far side, near an opening that leads players to it.
