Doom: The Dark Ages has several chapters, each with its own completion rate that depends on the collectibles you've acquired in the playthrough. Chapter 4, Sentinel Barracks, introduces a cool new weapon called the Shredder, and also includes a fun boss fight at the end with an iconic boss from the series. However, there are also several easy-to-get and well-hidden collectibles throughout the chapter that players need to acquire to get a 100% completion rating. Here's all of them.

All Collectibles in Doom The Dark Ages Chapter 4 Sentinel Barracks

There are seven different types of collectibles that players must hunt down in Doom The Dark Ages Chapter 4 Sentinel Barracks. Most of them are usually common among other chapters, with a few exceptions, like the Demonic Essence - Armor, which's unique to this one (and a few others). Here's a complete breakdown of all the collectibles in this chapter.

2x Ruby (To unlock certain upgrades in weapon skill tree)
1x Demonic Essence - Armor (To Increase maximum armor)
6x Secrets (Exploring secret areas)
1x Codex Entry (Provides players with additional lore about the world and key characters)
1x Collectibles Toy (Collectible figurines)
1x Skin (Nightmare variant of weapon skins)

The collectibles below are mentioned in order of appearance during a player's natural progression through chapter 4.

#1 First Secret Area with Gold & Hell Knight Toy

The first series of collectibles can be found early on, right after you get the Shredder weapon and survive a room full of demons. Make your way to the exterior of the castle and defeat the armored Mancubus.

Once you head back inside while following the quest marker, you'll arrive in a hallway full of shielded demons with a Mancubus at the end. Instead of engaging the enemies ahead, look to the left at the start of the hallway and break through the barrier with Shield Charge to enter the first secret area of Doom: The Dark Ages Chapter 4.

Here you'll find Gold scattered around the area, and a Hell Knight figurine on the center platform. While exiting the area, you'll also get additional Gold as you head up the stairs and back into the Mancubus hallway.

#2 Second Secret Area with Gold

After eliminating the Mancubus in the hallway, players will arrive in a room with an elevator and a button in the middle. Before interacting with the button, head towards the left of the elevator, and you'll spot a neon green Shield Jump point. Use it to reach the upper level and collect all the gold here.

After reaching the other end of the corridor, use Shield Charge to push the huge block to the other side. Now climb over the block to reach the second secret area above and loot all the gold here, including a gold chest.

#3 Gold Only

Return to the main hall and stand over the button in the middle to bring down the elevator. Once it's down, use the Shield Saw Throw ability to break the chain holding the elevator to reveal a pathway through the shaft.

Head into the next area by climbing across the elevator shaft, and you'll reach a circular area with some gold in the middle. Entering this section will trigger a fight with demons ambushing the Doom Slayer.

#4 Third Secret Area with Gold and a Life Sigil

After clearing the enemies in the circular area and heading through the doors ahead, players will enter a hallway with demons rushing at them from the other side. Eliminate the enemies quickly by shooting at the explosive barrels on the ground. Once the area is cleared, you'll spot a little switch near a closed door at the start of the area.

Once the switch is activated, follow the trail of gold to the upper section to find two big piles of gold, and a Life Sigil.

#5 First Ruby Location

After progressing further into Doom: The Dark Ages chapter 4, players will naturally get the first Ruby part with the aid of a mission marker. The first Ruby can be found shortly after the previous collectible area, when Doom Slayer receives transmission from Command Thira in a room full of soldiers.

#6 Fourth Secret Area with Gold and a Life Sigil

After completing the Defend the Barracks objective in Doom the Dark Ages chapter 4, players will eventually exit the castle and enter the open area. After arriving at the bridge, take a left turn and jump over the chasm to the field on the left.

Follow the trail of gold until you reach the fourth secret area holding a Life Sigil. You can break out of the area by using Shield Charge on the barricade.

#7 Demonic Heart - Armor

After exiting the fourth Secret Area, head across the bridge, and you'll face a swarm of demonic enemies with two Mancubi. Defeat the two Mancubi, and take out the Pinky Rider at the back to spawn a third armored Mancubi with a shield icon on top of its head.

Defeat the armored Mancubus and perform a Glory Kill, which will let the Doom Slayer rip out its heart and crush it. This is the Demonic Heart - Armor that will increase maximum armor for players.

#8 Fifth Secret Area with Gold and Second Ruby

After taking the Demonic Heart from the armored Mancubus, follow the critical path until you stumble upon a broken bridge. Down to the other half of the bridge and do a 180-turn to spot a hidden section beneath.

Jump over the chasm and climb up the ledge, but make sure to follow the path lined with gold. There are enemies in the next room, with fire traps erupting from the walls. Carefully eliminate the enemies while dodging the fiery traps. Progress further will lead players into the fifth secret area. Take the Ruby from the statue near the closed gates and follow the path up to get more gold.

#9 Gold Chest

After exiting the fifth Secret Area in Chapter 4 of Doom: The Dark Ages, players will return to the broken bridge. This time, head across the bridge and jump over the gap to reach the tower at the end. Head right, up the stairs, to arrive in the tower's room with a Gold chest in the middle. There's also an invisible demon inside, so make sure to eliminate it while you're there.

#10 Sixth Secret Area with Accelerator's Nightmare Skin and Gold

After reaching the town area, drop down one level and head right towards the row of buildings. There's a stairway leading to the upper section of the area lined with gold.

Once you reach the sixth Secret Area, you can find the Nightmare skin for the Accelerator weapon right behind the group of soldiers, in the area between buildings.

#11 Codex Page Location & Gold

Exit the sixth Secret Area in Doom the Dark Ages Chapter 4, and jump down into the lower section of the town with swarms of enemies. After taking out some enemies, head up the stairs, and you'll spot a large building at the corner of the map. There are a few carts opposite the building that you'll need to break to get stacks of Gold.

After that, proceed to the mission marker until you reach a door with a wooden barricade. Turn left from the door and go up the path to get the last pieces of Gold in Chapter 4, alongside the Codex Entry.
