In every chapter of DOOM The Dark Ages Secret Keys are required to unlock secret key doors in the level. In Chapter 6, there are a total of three secret doors, each indicated by a purple barrier with a symbol of a Secret Key on it.

As one of the first open-world levels, it can be tough to find the Chapter 6 Secret Key location, especially if you wander too far off the beaten path – the fastest route is to just go straight forward. This guide explains how to get the Secret Key in Chapter 6 and details the three secret doors that you will be able to unlock once you acquire it.

How To Get The Chapter 6 Secret Key

At the very beginning of Chapter 6, DOOM The Dark Ages players will drop down onto a battlefield absolutely filled with demons of all kinds. From this entrance into the open-ended level, simply walk forward, across the embankment, and toward the forest.

If you walk forward in a straight line from the beginning of the level, you should see the Chapter 6 Secret Key location on your Automap. It's sealed behind a red barrier on a wooden platform above a small group of demons in this forested area. Simply kill every nearby demon to unseal the barrier and find the Secret Key in Chapter 6.

All Secret Doors In Chapter 6: The Siege Part I

There are three Chapter 6 secret doors that require the Secret Key to unlock:

  • One secret door can be found in the cliff wall near the Secret Key location itself. Pick up the key, turn around, and walk forward. You should see a secret door in the side of the cliff.
    • Contains the Slayer secret collectible Toy

  • Another secret door can be found to the far left of the beginning of the level. Climb up a climbable wall into a secret area with a lever puzzle and a large pool of water, and hug the wall heading left to find the secret door.
  • A third secret door can be found in a sealed cave on the other side of the map, relatively close to the third Chapter I objective. Look for the familiar red seal on a cave entrance, defeat nearby demons, then drop down to find another secret door on the right side of this hidden room.
    • Contains a Ruby and several ammo pickups
