How To Get The Chapter 10 Secret Key In DOOM The Dark Ages

The tenth chapter of DOOM The Dark Ages, called Forsaken Plains, is the first level in the game that takes place entirely within Hell. This nightmarish landscape features three distinct wings and a central Atlan that makes it easier to navigate than other levels – especially when it comes to finding the Chapter 10 Secret Key location.

Secret Keys are spread throughout several DOOM The Dark Ages levels are are used to unlock doors to secret areas, are sealed with a purple glow. This guide explains where to find the Secret Key in Chapter 10 of DOOM The Dark Ages and lists three secret doors that you will be able to unlock once you have it.

To find the Secret Key in Chapter 10, DOOM The Dark Ages players should continue through the mission as normal, following mission markers, until you get through the gate barring your entry forth. When you enter the open level and see the downed Atlan, follow the path left until you see the first secret door. Ignore this for now, instead, continue forward until you see the Secret Key hologram floating outside of a large tower.

Though you can see the Chapter 10 Secret Key, you can't get it until you scale this building and drop in from above. To do this, head to the rear of the building, then look up to see a green grapple point. Throw your Saw Shield at this, then press the Saw Shield input again to hoist yourself upward.

Once you're up, turn the corner, pick up the Armor pickups, then throw your Saw Shield at the superheated metal you can see just across the way. Follow the Gold pickups, avoid the fire traps and defeat the armored demon enemy, then continue to the end of the hall. Walk outside, and you should see a climbable surface you can jump to on the right.

Climb up here, grab the Gold Chest to the right, then turn right again and leap across the gap to get to a walkway. Drop down into the tower from here to get the Chapter 10 Secret Key.

All Secret Doors In DOOM The Dark Ages Chapter 10

There are three secret doors in Chapter 10 of DOOM The Dark Ages. One can be found practically next to the Secret Key location, while the other two are spread out a bit further away:

One secret door can be found to the left of the downed Atlan, in a sunken area below some cliffs. You should also see a Sentinel statue with a Ruby standing outside.
- Contains a combat arena which, when all demons are defeated, will unlock the red barrier protecting the statue outside and allow you to collect the Ruby.
The second secret door can be found near the first Hell Cannon. After you Shield Charge through the Hell Cannon to destroy it, continue walking forward toward the mission marker, and you should naturally run into this secret door location.
- Contains multiple Gold pickups, a Ruby, and several fire traps to avoid.
The third Chapter 10 secret door location is right in the middle of the level, tucked into the corner of a courtyard behind the Atlan. On your minimap, look for a line of Gold pickups that lead to a Codex behind the Atlan (facing it from the beginning of the level).
- Contains several Gold pickups as well as the Prince Ahzrak Codex.
