Along the way, you will see two secret doors, but unlike getting the Secret Key in some levels, the Chapter 12 Secret Key location isn't very obvious. This guide explains how to get the Secret Key in Chapter 12 of DOOM The Dark Ages, as well as what you can expect to get from opening both Chapter 12 secret doors.

DOOM The Dark Ages Chapter 12 Secret Key Location

In Chapter 12, the Secret Key can be found about three-quarters of the way through the level, almost immediately after you find the Yellow Key. After you jump down at the beginning of Chapter 12, progress through the level, following mission markers as normal, until you take an elevator back up and get the Yellow Key.

Head toward the Yellow Key door connected to the room you found it in, but don't jump down the elevator shaft here quite yet. You will notice a Gold Chest in an alcove on the other side of the drop and a climbable wall leading up to it. Back up from the elevator drop, then sprint into it without jumping and you will collide with the bottom of this climbable area.

Climb up and grab the Gold Chest here, then turn around. Target the breakable wall on the other side of the elevator shaft and Shield Charge into it to discover a secret area. Follow this shaft, defeating enemies along the way, until you enter a room that contains the Chapter 12 Secret Key behind a red barrier.

The Chapter 9 Secret Key can be found pretty quickly in DOOM The Dark Ages, but you'll have to know where to go in this somewhat confusing level.

As with all red barriers in the game, this seal indicates that you must defeat all nearby enemies. Once you finish this brief combat arena, pick up the Chapter 12 Secret Key, then head outside to find a Secret Door nearby.

All Secret Doors In DOOM The Dark Ages Chapter 12

There are two secret doors Chapter 12 features: one can be found right next to the Secret Key on the same floor, while the other is found on the ground floor at the bottom of the elevator shaft. You cannot get back up to the upper level if you drop down the shaft, so be sure to find the first secret door before continuing with the level:

One secret door can be found in the room just outside the Chapter 12 Secret Key location. Exit the Secret Key room and look for the familiar purple sealed glow of a secret key door near the room where you found the Yellow Key.
- Contains a Wraithstone, sealed behind a red barrier that will unlock after you defeat all nearby demons.
The second secret door is on the ground level, near the lever you pulled that triggered a Pinky Rider cutscene behind the broken wall. Drop down the elevator shaft, pick up the Auto Turrent Shield Rune, then loop back to this you visited earlier.
