With a new patch in place for Season 5, Call of Duty: Warzone  remains one of the top performing first person shooters on the market. The free-to-play battle royale has solidified itself as one of the most viewed games on Twitch, as well as one of the most popular titles in its genre. This hasn't saved Warzone  from criticism though, especially from YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect, whose latest tirade will see him stepping away from the game again.

The new Season 5 Warzone  patch has brought with it a long list of changes, including new weapons, several operators, two new perks, as well as some minor balance changes and, of course, a new 100 level battle pass. Season 5's update is one of the smaller patches in recent months, with some disappointed by the lack of content and rebalancing, and with the addition of the Tempered perk causing a new bug in Warzone, players are already having some issues with the new patch.

Seeing Dr Disrespect criticize Warzone  is hardly something new. The two-time Blockbuster Video Game Champion rarely minces words, and in a recent clip from a Warzone  stream, he gave his thoughts on some of the new changes in Season 5. After abandoning Warzone  for Apex Legends Season 10, the Doc returned to Call of Duty  to see what the new Season 5 update was all about, only to be met with death at the hands of an unfortunate combination of a flash bang to the face and the new Combat Scout perk, which makes all enemies shot by the player easier to spot via a red outline once activated.

Dr Disrespect suggested that "nobody asked for that," describing the new perk as "cheesy," and going on to point out that the perks that Warzone  players are actually requesting changes for are Dead Silence and Stopping Power, as well as nerfs for concussion grenades. Dead Silence has been much-maligned by the community since Warzone  came out, with the perk allowing players to easily secure kills in top ten situations thanks to their silent footsteps. The Doc's duo partner, ZLaner, when asked about Warzone's new Combat Scout perk, also stated that he doesn't like it either, and agreed that nobody in the community had asked for its addition.

While Dr Disrespect is known for ranting about Warzone's balance issues, many in the community would likely see his complaints as being fairly reasonable. With the new update being so small, and doing very little to address the vastness of Warzone's hacking problems, Season 5 has been seen as one of the more lackluster patches in the game's recent history. Although the game is unlikely to lose too many players in the immediate future, Warzone  could see a mass-exodus if the balancing and hacking issues continue to go unaddressed, with the community already expressing concerns over Season 5's lack of content.
