One of the most popular and unique shonen series out there, Dr. Stone's excellent premise and likable characters easily make for one of the most riveting watches in recent memory. Watching Senku and the rest of the gang surpass seemingly insurmountable odds with the power of science is truly a blast to witness, with each scientific discovery being hailed and celebrated in a truly eye-catching manner.

Dr. Stone's main characters are the beating heart of this brilliant series, and fans might wish to know more about them. Therefore, keeping this in mind, here are the ages, birthdays, and heights of all the main characters in Dr. Stone.

Updated September 22, 2025 by Mark Sammut: Dr. Stone: Science Future Part 2 is almost done, and the season is among Summer 2025's best. In celebration of the current cour's quality, we have expanded this article to include entries for Kinro and Ginro, along with adding more characters to the "Ages, Heights, and Birthdays of Other Dr. Stone Characters" section.

Each character's first episode is also listed; now, most characters are briefly previewed in earlier episodes before making their true debuts. The latter has been included rather than the former.

Senku Ishigami

The Leader Of The Kingdom Of Science

  • Age: 15
  • Height: 5'7"
  • Birthday: January 4th, 2004
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Yūsuke Kobayashi
  • English Voice Actor: Aaron Dismuke
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 1 "Stone World"

One of the most dynamic shonen protagonists of the last decade, Senku carries Dr. Stone as its charismatic, funny, and highly intelligent MC. His personality is so unlike what one would expect from the lead of a shonen series, and yet his character doesn't suffer as a result of this — if anything, it ends up elevating his character to new heights and turning him into one of the most interesting characters in the series.

Shonen anime has featured some incredibly powerful protagonists, but who's the strongest of them all?

1

Watching this mad genius achieve many scientific breakthroughs and put them to good use in practical situations becomes the highlight of the series, making it infinitely clear why he's the biggest draw of Dr. Stone by a country mile. In the later seasons, Senku goes up against other genius Dr. Stone characters, allowing him to shine and overcome people who are on his intellectual level.

Taiju Oki

Senku's Best Friend And The Kingdom Of Science's Powerhouse

  • Age: 16
  • Height: 6'2"
  • Birthday: April 2, 2003
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Makoto Furukawa
  • English Voice Actor: Ricco Fajardo
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 1 "Stone World"

Taiju is arguably Senku's closest friend, with their relationship dating to childhood. While Senku is all about his brain, Taiju relies on his impressive brawn and big heart to leave an impact. Consequently, it was imperative for Senku to depetrify Taiju so that he could handle the heavy-duty work for his experiments that the mad scientist himself was unable to perform due to his physical limitations.

Taiju's journey during the series has been quite entertaining to watch, initially serving as a spy in Tsukasa's Kingdom before joining the Kingdom of Science as a member of the Power Team who would also head the Farming Division.

Yuzuriha Ogawa

A Valuable Member Of The Kingdom Of Science Who Is Incredible With A Needle

  • Age: 15
  • Height: 5'2"
  • Birthday: March 31, 2004
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Kana Ichinose
  • English Voice Actor: Brittany Lauda
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 1 "Stone World"

Forming the original trio of friends who ended up turning into stone during the Petrification Event in 2019, Yuzuriha is a rather unique — if not somewhat cliched — character who also serves as the love interest of Taiju in the series. After realizing the threat that Tsukasa posed to the new world, Senku decided upon a plan that would ensure the safety of both their friends by telling them to join Tsukasa's Kingdom as spies.

After Tsukasa's defeat, Yuzuriha ended up joining the Kingdom of Science and performed the duties of a seamstress, weaving clothes for the people of this kingdom. Admittedly, she does fade into the background during seasons 3 and 4, generally only showing up for brief scenes in most episodes. Nevertheless, Yuzuriha is still one of Dr. Stone's most recognizable figures.

Tsukasa Shishio

A Threat-Turned-Ally To The Kingdom Of Science

  • Age: 18
  • Height: 6'4"
  • Birthday: October 10, 2001
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Yuichi Nakamura
  • English Voice Actor: Ian Sinclair
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 1 "Stone World"

The first main antagonist of Dr. Stone, Tsukasa ends up being a thorn in Senku's side with his outdated ideals and misguided views on how the Stone World should evolve. More importantly, Tsukasa is one of the most powerful and intimidating characters in the entire series, and he continues to be relevant even after his run as the primary villain ends. However, while his kingdom might've been strong from a physical perspective, the lack of scientific prowess meant that his time at the top was destined to be brief from the very start.

Thankfully, Tsukasa finally comes to his senses and decides to partner up with his rival once he ends up losing the higher ground during the Stone Wars. The ensuing quest to rescue his daughter along with Senku ends up eliminating their rivalry once and for all, with Tsukasa finally seeing the light and joining the Kingdom of Science as a valuable ally.

Gen Asagiri

Master Manipulator & Negotiator

  • Age: 19
  • Height: 5'9"
  • Birthday: April 1, 2000
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Kengo Kawanishi
  • English Voice Actor: Brandon McInnis
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 9 "Let There Be the Light of Science"

Initially serving under the ranks of Tsukasa and tasked to find and report on Senku, Gen Asagiri gets wooed in the smartest manner by Senku when he finally showcases the capabilities of the Kingdom of Science, with a bottle of cola serving as proof of why scientific achievements should remain paramount in the Stone World as opposed to brute force and outdated mentalities.

After coming to his senses, Gen decides to switch sides and becomes a valuable ally for Senku, serving as a tactical and strategic member of the Five Wise Generals who always had stellar points to bring up at any given moment... Especially during a war that was critical when it came to deciding the path that the new world would tread.

Kohaku

Born To The Stone World, Kohaku is A Powerful Warrior Who Joins The Kingdom Of Science

  • Age: 16
  • Height: 5'3"
  • Birthday: August 8, 5723
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Manami Numakura
  • English Voice Actor: Felecia Angelle
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 6 "Two Nations of the Stone World"

Kohaku's appearance in the first season of Dr. Stone marked a change of pace for the series, which had started stagnating after a point. The resulting reveal of Ishikami Village and how Senku and his group of friends manage to aid the village with their scientific discoveries are nothing short of amazing and make for a fascinating second act of Dr. Stone.

The bond Kohaku develops with Senku throughout the series is also quite refreshing in its own right, and she pretty quickly becomes one of the most important assets to the Kingdom of Science. While occasionally overshadowed by other fighters, Kohaku's blend of agility, resilience, and power makes her one of the most well-rounded warriors in Dr. Stone. She also has her funny moments.

Chrome

Senku's Prodigy, Who Is Passionate About Science

  • Age: 16
  • Height: 5'7"
  • Birthday: February 4, 5723
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Gen Satō
  • English Voice Actor: Matt Shipman
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 7 "Where Two Million Years Have Gone"

One of the most energetic members of the main cast, Chrome's enthusiasm for science and the mysteries it holds is quite entertaining to witness, with this attitude allowing for wonderful chemistry with Senku as both scientists aim to bring a more nuanced and modernized approach to the archaic practices being carried out in the post-apocalyptic world.

Fans of the Dr. Stone manga should expect to be on the edge of their seats when reading these multiple plot arcs.

So, it's only fitting that Chrome becomes Senku's right-hand man and one of the Five Wise Generals when the Kingdom of Science is established, with the budding scientist improving his craft and bringing his talents to greater heights under the watchful eye of Senku.

Kinro

The Steadfast Spear

  • Age: 18
  • Height: 5'11"
  • Birthday: July 9, 5721
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Tomoaki Maeno
  • English Voice Actor: Jessie James Grelle
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 7 "Where Two Million Years Have Gone"

You can rely on Kinro. Sure, he isn't the Kingdom of Science's strongest or smartest member, but he is dependable, practical, and kind. Kinro served as Ishigami Village's guard, and he was 100% dedicated to protecting his home by sticking strictly to its rules. When he eventually becomes one of Senku's trusted allies, Kinro proves to be willing to follow orders, although he is more than willing to question things if he does not agree. That said, he is pretty predictable and tends to be a bit too prideful for his own good.

After season 1, Kinro mostly slips into the background, getting maybe one or two lines of dialogue per episode. He is all-around useful, but he does not excel in any area that allows him to shine above other characters. Still, the Kingdom of Science would be much weaker without Kinro.

Ginro

The Cowardly But Lovable Idiot

  • Age: 16
  • Height: 5'4"
  • Birthday: April 7, 5723
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Ayumu Murase
  • English Voice Actor: Justin Briner
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 7 "Where Two Million Years Have Gone"

OK, Ginro is a bit of an acquired taste. He is very much presented as a comedy character who gets scared very quickly and seems to have a habit of getting into sticky situations. Dr. Stone is a funny anime in general, with most characters being capable of producing laughs; however, Ginro is one of the only individuals who seems to exist primarily and solely to be a punchline. While he comes across as one-note at times, he can be endearing in his own way.

Ginro might be a coward, but he regularly steps up whenever he finds himself in a dangerous or even deadly situation. If Senku assigns a task to him, Ginro will eventually accept the responsibility, even if he might complain along the way. Ultimately, someone who feels no fear cannot be brave, and Ginro is constantly terrified.

Suika

A Lovable Character Who Is More Than Just Comedic Relief

  • Age: 9
  • Height: 3'11"
  • Birthday: 5730 AD
  • Japanese Voice Actor: Karin Takahashi
  • English Voice Actor: Sarah Wiedenheft
  • Debut Episode: Season 1, Episode 8 "Stone Road"

While Suika might have seemed like nothing more than a run-of-the-mill comic relief character when she was initially introduced, her nearsightedness and the issues that it caused for her instantly made her endearing to fans of Dr. Stone.

So, when Senku gave her contact lenses so that she could finally see clearly for the first time in her life, Suika's emotional reaction was a thing to behold and easily established itself as one of the most heartwarming moments in the series. Ever since then, Suika's character arc has been on a constant upturn, with her natural aptitude for stealth making her a valuable asset to the Kingdom of Science.
