Dragon Ball DAIMA has avoided rushing into the newly shrunken characters, showcasing their most powerful techniques, but Episode 5 gave fans the first glimpse at Goku using one of his many transformations. Plenty of opportunities are sure to await Goku as he further adjusts to a smaller body and takes on even stronger opponents. With an equally shrunken Vegeta on his way to the Demon Realm soon, this won't be the last time we see Saiyans channel their power in Dragon Ball DAIMA.

When Goku and friends were first transformed into chibi-style versions of themselves at the beginning of Dragon Ball DAIMA, it quickly became apparent that they wouldn't automatically retain their existing powers. As soon as Goku tried to fly in Episode 2, his inability to control this new body nearly sent him tumbling off the edge of Kami's Lookout to the Earth below. Piccolo promptly tried the same thing and crashed face-first into a tree, so it will take some time for the Z fighters to reach the heights they've achieved in the past. Goku first experienced the heavy air of the Demon Realm and started testing out his new body in Episodes 3 and 4, but each new battle pushes the Saiyan a bit further.

Goku Finally Goes Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball DAIMA

When Goku finally reaches King Kadan's castle in Episode 5, a quick fight showcasing his power against a group of the king's soldiers culminated with the first glimpse of Super Saiyan Goku in Dragon Ball DAIMA. This was also the biggest test yet for Goku to battle without using the trusty Power Pole that aided his defeat of the Gendarmerie, Supreme Demon King Gomah's military police, in Episode 4. During the skirmish against King Kadan's soldiers, Goku briefly surged into Super Saiyan form to knock away a few that had grabbed his arms.

The transformation is glimpsed for only a moment before Goku reverts and appears relatively the same, but a yellow glow lingered around him. It's possible that this glow was Goku tapping into a tiny fraction of the power Ultimate Gohan once reached, but it's more likely that he simply used the lingering energy from that Super Saiyan burst to finish off the fight in short order. Goku's strength impressed King Kadan quite a bit, and he promptly got a replacement plane and supplies prepared for Goku, Glorio, and Shin to continue their journey.

King Kadan also sent Hybis to Earth so that the second batch of Z fighters, including Piccolo and Vegeta, will have a working pin number to enter the Demon Realm. It's rare that Vegeta and Goku don't end up clashing at some point throughout each new journey, so fans might even get to see Super Saiyan Vegeta and Super Saiyan Goku square off in their mini forms during future episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA. They're also both expected to be announced as part of either upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero DLC that adds DAIMA characters to the roster.

On top of a potential final clash with Supreme Demon King Gomah, Goku and the others will eventually have to contend with the powerful Tamagami that protect each of the Demon Realm Dragon Balls. DAIMA fits between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, so forms like Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, and Ultra Instinct aren't expected to make an appearance. On the other hand, classics like Super Saiyan 3 or even the long beloved Super Saiyan 4 form seen in GT could return in future episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA.

Piccolo and Vegeta could use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train their bodies as their age regression actually benefits them as the time dilation could age them time to acclimate to their mini forms! Also if Vegeta finds a way to grow his tail back, his Great Ape form would actually prove useful and he could easily reach and control Golden Great Ape as he can control the standard Great Ape form! Still I think the show's best option is for Demon Realm to have a unique form of Blutz Waves that Vegeta can tap into to regrow his tail as I think he should achieve Golden Great Ape before Goku, since Goku always had trouble controlling his and it would be cool to see Vegeta be the first canonical Golden Great Ape and the Great Ape form doesn't really have a child form which is why I think that if they introduce SSJ4, the reason they become adults is cause SSJ4 like Great Ape puts a Saiyan into their physical prime (as I see it as a combination of base, SSJ, & Great Ape combined hence why unfused have black hair)! Also the Demon Realm Blutz Waves tail regrowing affect only works on young Saiyans and when Vegeta & Goku return to their original ages, they lose their tails and that way they lose access to those forms (DBS could reintroduce them through Bulma, Hedo, and/or Gohan studying the waves and trying to produce them artificially which could allow Pan access to SSJ4 due to her young age that way she's the first Female SSJ4 in canon a nod to something GT failed to do (Toei was writing the script and could have given her it by simply revealing she inherited the tail gene from her father as his is active)!

I don't mind Daima bringing Golden Great Ape or SSJ4 into canon, I just feel like Vegeta is the perfect candidate due to Great Ape being his strongest form back in the Saiyan Saga (18,000 × 10 = 180,000, though Vegeta's sacrificed some of his energy to create the power ball & had taken damage so his true power level was probably less due to not using a Moon and not going Great Ape from the get go! Still his Great Ape form's max power back them made him stronger than Ginyu (120,000 stated by Jeice after seeing Kaioken Goku's 180,000 on Namek that made Ginyu freak out but also want his body)!

Vegeta's ability to control Great Ape has always meant he like Goku with SSJ on Namek (Vegeta was too ruthless which meant he accumulated S-Cells slower than the gentle Goku) has a edge over his rival when it comes to transformation access due to his level of control over Great Ape!

Great Ape Vegeta's return would be a great way to bring Great Ape back into the picture! Alternatively Majin Vegeta could return due to the Demon Realm centric plot! Maybe Panzy or her dad know a wizard who can use Manipulation Sorcery to grant mini Vegeta access to Majin but controlled like when he fought Innocent Buu as Majin Vegeta never truly was brainwashed or loyal to Babidi due to his pride! This way Majin Vegeta could just be used to augment mini Vegeta's power to SSJ2 levels or even SSJ3 if he needs it to achieve SSJ4 in canon! Also Demon Realm is an otherworldly environment like Other World or Time Chamber thus him achieving it wouldn't be problematic as he could just realize he doesn't like the form due to the power required to maintain it not being his style (with him opting not to use it like he did with SSJ 3rd Grade cause of its speed nerf) leading him to maybe consider Great Ape combined with SSJ to create Golden Great Ape (Elder Kai could later reveal he is aware of old legends regarding Golden Great Ape but wasn't sure if they were true and seeing it causes him to remember, also his age regression leads to him not having memory issues of his elderly body)!
