Dragon Ball FighterZ has a large roster of characters from the beloved franchise, meaning that players have many different options to choose from in terms of gameplay and fighting mechanics. Frieza, despite being one of the least chosen characters, has some of the best 'zoning' options in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Frieza also has the ability to transform into Golden Frieza, which boosts his damage output, unlocks new manual combos, and even allows Frieza to dash twice. Many fans who have taken on Frieza as one of their mains will have learned his famous 'loop' combo, in which Frieza can loop specific moves together to do incredible damage. Here's how to do it.

To transform into Golden Frieza, players will need at least three bars of their Ki Gauge. Then, players will have to input 214H+S. With a controller. This command is simply quarter-circle back + RT. Transforming into Golden Frieza will give Frieza brief invulnerability on the move's startup before a short cutscene follows.

Afterward, Frieza is immediately able to attack opponents, usually allowing players to punish their enemy for a move they attempted while Frieza transformed. To set up the loop combo, players will need to transform into Golden Frieza, as accessing his increased movement speed and full reverse beat is crucial.

How To Do The Loop Combo With Frieza

frieza's different moves

The Golden Frieza loop combo is a lot less complicated compared to other characters' loop combos, such as Base Vegeta's. After turning into Golden Frieza, players can perform the loop combo by first initiating their first set-up attack. The first move that fans need to perform is Frieza's 2M, and they need to land both hits. The 2M is immediately followed up by 5M, and then players will begin the loop by using j.M and landing both hits.

Once Frieza's tail lands twice, players will use j.H to slam the opponent toward the ground. Rapidly, use j.L twice, followed by the j.M and j.H to loop. This can loop twice before the player needs to end the loop with a separate combo or another conclusion. Here's the full notation for the Golden Frieza loop combo:

  • 2M, 5M, j.M, j.H, j.L, j.L, j.M, j.H, j.L, j.L

Here's a variant of the loop combo that incorporates transforming into Golden Frieza within it:

  • 2M, 214H+S, 5M, j.M, j.H, j.L, j.L, j.M, j.H, j.L, j.L

How To End The Golden Frieza Loop Combo

There are plenty of viable ways to end the loop combo with Golden Frieza, with some combos doing well over 6000-7000 damage. To get the best possible outcome with the Frieza loop, players will want to use 5H right after landing from the loop's j.L. Gamers can then Superdash into the opponent, opening up a wide range of options as they are usually caught up in the corner of the stage.

After an aerial combo branched off from the Superdash, players will want to end it with Frieza's Level 1 Super (236L+M). Then, assuming that players have enough Ki Gauge, they can incorporate a support Super, as well as an ally's Level 3 Super, which should find its way around 8000+ damage. Here's an ideal combo finisher for the Golden Frieza loop:

  • (After the last j.L): 5H, SD, j.M, j.L, j.L, j.M, 236S, 236L+M, (Ally Level 1 Super, Ally Level 3 Super)
