This article contains all of Goku's most powerful moves in the canon of the Dragon Ball series.
In the entire Dragon Ball franchise, there is no one who has more of a diverse and varied arsenal of techniques than the main character of the series, Son Goku. Over the years, Goku has trained under some of the greatest masters in the entire multiverse, allowing him to become arguably the franchise's most talented Martial Artist who has a wealth of different attacks and techniques as part of his incredible move set.
The sheer number of attacks that Goku has used over the years may just be too great to count, but there are a notable few that stand out as not only the strongest techniques of his own, but are among the most powerful attacks in all of Dragon Ball. In this article, let's go over Goku's strongest attacks and see which one among them stands out as the most powerful.
Dragon Ball: These Two Saiyan's Are Even Stronger Than Beerus
Beerus has always been the goal for Goku and Vegeta to reach in Super, but there are already two Saiyans who are even stronger than him!

- A move to incapacitate.
Though not an outright attack like the other techniques on this list, Goku's God Bind is a very effective tool that he can utilize in any fight. Many of Goku's most famous and powerful attacks are those that he has learned from others and mastered on his own. The God Bind, however, is an attack that has never been used by anyone else and makes full use of Goku's Super Saiyan God power.
Hey, take it easy!
By drawing out the God Ki that resides within his body while in this form, Goku lets out energy that can be used to bind or capture his opponents. The only time this technique has been seen in the series is when he used it against Broly in an attempt to stifle the Saiyan's rage by talking sense into him. Although it got overpowered, Goku proved that this technique is very useful during a fight.

Emperor Pilaf Saga |
- The most iconic attack in the series.
If there is a single attack that stands out as the greatest in the entire series, it is the legendary Kamehameha wave. Originally created by Master Roshi, this legendary attack has been used by most of the Z-Fighters and has found a place within all of their arsenals, though none can truly call it their own the same way Goku can. He learned this technique when he was a child and has used it consistently as one of his most powerful attacks ever since, even creating many amazing new variations with it.
Power comes in response to a need, not a desire. You have to create that need.
Over the years, the Kamehameha saw an amazing line of transformations through Goku, with each iteration being stronger than the last. As he began to use this technique in his Super Saiyan state, it eventually became the Super Kamehameha, with later variants even making use of his fusion with Vegeta. The last, and currently most powerful, iteration of this legendary Ki Blast is the Supreme Kamehameha, which he uses in his Ultra Instinct transformation.

Though Far From Perfect, Goku Has Shown The Abitlity To Use Hakai

- Goku briefly used the technique of the Destroyers.
Of all the characters in the series, none are as prodigious Martial Artists as Goku himself. Over the years, he has proven himself to be capable of learning complex techniques and mastering them quite quickly, and this talent was on full display in the Goku Black arc when he briefly used the Hakai technique of the Gods of Destruction after only seeing Beerus use it a handful of times.
That's Beerus's technique!
Of course, his version of the attack was far from perfect and had some glaring issues, which could be seen with it taking a lot of time to erase Zamasu and not being as effective as Beerus's version. Still, Hakai on its own is arguably the greatest offensive technique in all of Dragon Ball, so even Goku's flawed and incomplete version of it was still substantially powerful.

Moro Arc |
- A unique application of Ultra Instinct.
When Goku unlocked Ultra Instinct in the Tournament of Power for the first time, the form itself was an imperfect one that couldn't make full use of the legendary technique. Shortly after, however, Goku would master this form and use Ultra Instinct to its full capabilities in the subsequent arcs. In the Moro arc, he unlocked a way of utilizing its power through a gigantic avatar made up of the energy he received through Vegeta's Forces Spirit Fission.
True strength is achieved when the mind is still and the body moves like the wind.
After this, he eventually mastered this strange power, even using it against Gas in the Granolah arc. Although the truth behind its application remains a mystery, many fans believe that it only awakens in times of great need in the Mastered Ultra Instinct state. As such, this is arguably Goku's second-most powerful attack, as the form seems to increase Goku's strength and overall power by a substantial amount, allowing him to overpower his foes with ease.
The Spirit Bomb Will Always Be Goku's Most Powerful Attack
A Move Made From Everyone's Energy

Story Arc |
Saiyan Saga |
- The ultimate attack to vanquish evil.
Because of its very nature, the Spirit Bomb is always going to be Goku's single most powerful attack. In essence, Goku raises up his arms into the air and draws in the energy and life force of others, eventually swelling up his power to an incredible degree. At this point, a white ball of Ki is formed above him that contains all of this energy, making this one of the most powerful attacks in all of Dragon Ball.
People of the Universe! Share your energy with me!
The reason why many claim the nature of the Spirit Bomb to be the biggest determining factor of its strength is because it takes the energy of so many people, not just Goku. In certain variations of this attack, Goku has even shown to call for the energy of every living being in the universe, making this attack even more powerful. The size of this attack can range from small to large, but just about every version of it is definitely Goku's strongest move.
