The latest Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer recently confirmed 15 new characters for the game, with most of them hailing from Dragon Ball Z’s earlier Saiyan and Namek arcs. It starts on Earth, where a plant-like Saibaman attacks the ever-unlucky Yamcha. Meanwhile, Goku’s ally Chiaotzu stands up to the sinister Saiyan warrior Nappa by seemingly sacrificing himself in an explosive attack. Previously confirmed Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero characters like Goku, Piccolo, and Raditz are also featured as they recreate battles from the start of the Dragon Ball Z series.

Among their ranks are Cui and Dodoria, as well as Zarbon in both his regular and monstrous Super Zarbon forms. No list of Frieza’s deadliest minions would be complete without the Ginyu Force, and Guldo, Recoome, and Captain Ginyu himself now join the previously confirmed Jeice and Burter among Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s roster. On a more heroic note, the noble Namekian guardian Nail does his best to fend off the invading Frieza.
Speaking of Frieza, the dreaded archvillain already has a few slots for his Dragon Ball Super appearance and Golden Frieza form in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, and the game’s latest trailer introduces his first four forms in addition to the Full Power form he takes on during his iconic battle against the Super Saiyan Goku among the flaming ruins of Namek. This and many more legendary match-ups will be available for players to recreate when Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero launches on October 11.
