The DLC pack for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero launches on January 23, 2025, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles, with early access opening on January 20.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has turned out to be a certified hit for Bandai Namco and among Dragon Ball franchise fans. Despite launching relatively late in 2024, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero broke sales records among Dragon Ball games and even became one of 2024's best-selling titles. Bandai Namco plans to keep that momentum up by supporting the game with downloadable content, adding new playable characters, and recalling legendary fights from the franchise's history. The game is also receiving various improvements via patches and updates to address outstanding fan complaints about the game's online performance and address the persistent issue of match-quitting in the competitive scene.

As previously teased in the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero DLC schedule, the pack adds characters from the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, including the Androids Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 and Cell Max. Multiple versions of Gohan and Piccolo are also on offer, with Gohan (Super Hero), Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Ultimate Gohan, Beast Gohan, Piccolo (Super Hero), Orange Piccolo, and Piccolo (Potential Unlocked) all treated as separate characters. The add-on even includes the giant-sized version of Orange Piccolo that fought the super-sized Cell Max in the movie.
