Not only is the God of Destruction Beerus Saga getting a much-needed enhanced rework, but we're also seeing the Super anime return with new content, with the anime set to adapt the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

That still shouldn't arrive for a while, but fans are still excited to see what many consider to be one of Super's best sagas get animated. In the meantime, it's never too late to familiarize yourself with some of the newer faces you'll get to know throughout the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga.

Dragon Ball Super: The Strongest Characters in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Ranked

These characters are going to make the biggest difference during the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga anime.

Esca

Moro-esca

Esca was likely introduced in the Kid Buu Saga, but was never named and was part of a large group of Namekians shown in the manga. But in the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, we finally get to know him a little better. Esca is the successor to Elder Moori, though he is still very young.

In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga, Esca gets caught up in the confrontation between Goku, Vegeta, and Moro. He's very nearly consumed by Moro, but is thankfully saved by Vegeta. Esca makes use of his healing abilities to get Goku and Vegeta back in fighting shape and forms a bond with the two Saiyans. He's also forced to summon Porunga thanks to Cranberry, but he ends up being saved yet again, this time by Good Buu.

Goichi

Goichi

Goichi doesn't get introduced until the very end of the arc, and even then, he's a bit player. Introduced in the transition between the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga and the Granolah the Survivor Saga, Goichi is the leader of Goichi's Army, and is the one who acquires Seven-Three and the OG Soldiers.

He doesn't do much, but if we do see Goichi in the anime adaptation, it could very well serve as a teaser for the Granolah arc. Imagine; the last episode of the Galactic Patrol Saga anime featuring Goichi on his ship, an alarm sounding off, and his guards wiped out by a mysterious green-eyed fighter with wavy hair.

The Macareni Gang

Macareni_Gang_2

Another group of small-timers, the Macareni Gang consists of Pasta Macareni, the eldest sibling and leader of the gang, as well as Penne and Ghetti Macareni. Pasta-themed names aside, there's not all that much special about this bunch.

They're known adversaries of the Galactic Patrol, having crossed paths with them and gotten caught by Merus in the past. The group is freed as part of Noro's wishes with Parunga, and join his Moro Corps. The group head to Earth in search of Sky Gold. When they're caught and defeated by Piccolo, they send out a distress signal, drawing other members of the corps to Earth.

The Galactic Bandit Brigade

Galactic Bandit Brigade

We've seen world-threatening villains appear throughout Dragon Ball, so a group of thieves isn't going to impress anybody. The Galactic Bandit Brigade are a major thorn in the Galactic Patrol's side, proving to be a somewhat competent group of criminals who are strong enough to give most Galactic Patrol members outside of Merus trouble.

They help kick the events of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga off, with their capture and their leader's subsequent interaction with Moro serving as the catalyst for Moro's escape. The gang members are all incredibly weak compared to Goku and Vegeta, serving mainly as fodder while Moro runs rampant.

Saganbo

Empowered_Saganbo_(manga)

The leader of the Galactic Bandit Brigade, Saganbo is just as unremarkable as his crew. The only thing worth noting about him is that he's fairly durable, more than most people of his skill level. But even with that in mind, he's not anything special.

However, Saganbo does get a massive power-up thanks to Moro's magic. This makes him a much tougher fight than he should be, and he manages to hold his own against Androids 17 & 18, Piccolo, and Gohan. Unfortunately for him, it all comes at a devastating price.

Seven-Three

Seven-Three

Seven-Three isn't a particularly interesting character, but he has a special technique that's going to make him a tough opponent to deal with. One of the OG Soldiers, Seven-Three's Copy Ability is incredibly useful, making him one of the most versatile opponents in the saga.

The ability allows him to copy an opponent's powers and techniques for up to 30 minutes. All he has to do is touch the back of their neck. It comes with a caveat, though; he can only store up to three people's powers at once. Still, this technique makes Seven-Three, and later on Moro, one of the biggest challenges our heroes face.

Merus

goku-merus

A member of the Galactic Patrol and their number one operative, Merus is a mysterious but incredibly skillful patrolman. He plays a huge role throughout the arc, working alongside Goku and Vegeta in their fight against Moro.

Merus ends up being a great asset outside of battle as well, helping Goku along with his training and playing a big part in Goku improving his mastery of Ultra Instinct. Though Goku and Vegeta predictably play the biggest role in taking down Moro, Merus' contributions are invaluable.

Moro

moro-goku

The main villain of the saga, Moro is a great antagonist and stands out as one of the most unique challenges Goku and Vegeta have faced, not just in Super, but in the series overall. Having been imprisoned for millions of years, Moro is one of the greatest threats in the universe, and he shows why in the saga.

A magic user, Moro's skillset is unique compared to most other villains. He's earned the epithet "Planet-Eater" due to his ability to absorb energy from living things, and that'll prove to be a problem to both our heroes and the planets they're on throughout the arc. Many consider Moro to be the best villain Super has to offer, and we'll all see why when he's introduced in the anime.
