This article contains spoilers from the Dragon Ball Super manga.
Fans of Dragon Ball are absolutely delighted to know that the series is now officially making a comeback in 2026. Stuck in limbo for way too long, Dragon Ball was on a long hiatus, both in terms of the anime and the manga. While the manga has yet to receive the green light for continuation, as far as fans know, the anime's return has now officially been announced. That means an exciting adventure for Goku and all his friends is about to begin once again.
Dragon Ball: Will Goku And Vegeta Ever Match Beerus?
Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction out of them all, so do Goku and Vegeta have any hope of matching him at the end of the series??
Before the Dragon Ball Super anime treads new ground, fans will first have to get through the Dragon Ball Super remaster, which will condense the first few arcs of the anime and make it a much better product. Immediately after, however, Dragon Ball will finally begin the Galactic Patrol arc, which will mean Goku will have an opportunity to grow even stronger. It is in this arc that Goku will show off his newest transformation once again, and fans know that form to be Mastered Ultra Instinct. Having first debuted in the Tournament of Power, it is time that Goku makes this transformation better than ever before.
Goku Will Continue To Evolve In Dragon Ball Super
- Goku is one of the most talented Saiyans in Dragon Ball
- His new transformation will shine in DBS’s Galactic Patrol Arc
It is no secret that Goku will continue to evolve in the Dragon Ball Super manga, even though his potential isn't limitless. Fans know for a fact that he continues to evolve with each passing arc. His thirst for more power and fighting stronger enemies is unbelievably high, and fans have continually seen that over the course of Dragon Ball Super. Be it against the God of Destruction Beerus or someone like Broly, or even Jiren, Goku has continued to put himself to the test and come out of it stronger than ever. This is most certainly not going to stop in the future arcs of Dragon Ball Super either, and fans will definitely see Goku push himself beyond all limits once again.
There is no doubt about it. That's a state that even the Gods struggle to achieve…Ultra Instinct! — Beerus, Tournament of Power
As far as the anime is concerned, Goku's strongest transformation that he can willingly tap into remains Super Saiyan Blue, powered by Kaioken. Of course, Goku did utilize the power of Ultra Instinct against Jiren, both in Omen and Mastered form. The fact is that he cannot willingly tap into this transformation yet. Otherwise, he would have utilized it against Broly. That is precisely what the Galactic Patrol arc is going to fix, as it is here that Goku will finally start tapping into the power of Ultra Instinct once again.
It goes without saying that for Goku, the next step in the Dragon Ball storyline is to utilize the power of Ultra Instinct and go in the direction of the Angels of the universe. Meanwhile, Vegeta goes in the complete opposite direction and makes use of the power of destruction, akin to Beerus.
Goku Will Master The Power Of Ultra Instinct In Dragon Ball Super’s Next Arc
- Goku hasn't fully grasped Ultra Instinct yet
- The Galactic Patrol Arc will see Goku master this art
The Galactic Patrol Arc is going to be absolutely massive for Goku, as well as Vegeta. While the latter is not going to receive all that many power-ups in this arc, fans know for a fact that Goku learns to evolve his Ultra Instinct to the next level. There are going to be a lot of exciting characters featured in the Galactic Patrol Arc, such as Moro, who will push Goku to the limits because of his ability to simply eat Ki away.
Jiren, come at me with your full power! — Goku, Tournament of Power
At the same time, fans also need to keep in mind that the likes of Merus will show up here as well. He is the one who is going to train Goku to tap into the power that only a few Gods in the world possess, and that is Ultra Instinct. With the power of Ultra Instinct, fans saw Goku become strong enough to even overwhelm someone like Jiren, and that goes without saying.
It's Time To Finally Welcome The New Dragon Ball Z Replacement
Dragon Ball Z is a fan favorite anime. This new anime could be a great replacement for it.
In other words, his overall power level goes beyond the level of some Gods of Destruction once he uses Ultra Instinct.
That is precisely why the Galactic Patrol Arc is going to be a huge step forward for Goku. For the very first time, Goku will learn to tap into the power of Ultra Instinct at will and, from there onwards, develop his skill set even further. This transformation will actually become available to Goku in this arc, and it is going to be his biggest step forward in the story.
Galactic Patrol Arc Will Force Goku To Get Stronger
The Galactic Patrol Arc of Dragon Ball will also pit Goku against one of the most tricky enemies that he will have ever faced, and that's Moro. Moro might not be the strongest in terms of overall power level, but the fact is that his ability is incredibly tricky to deal with. With or without Ultra Instinct, Goku won't get around his ability to drain Ki, and that is what makes him a big threat. Even together, the likes of Goku and Vegeta will struggle against him, and that is what makes the next step of this franchise incredibly exciting.
Moro will most certainly prove to be a compelling villain and his overall character could be taken to the next level in the anime, given that fans know that this form of the story often takes a different road compared to the manga. In either case, the Moro arc is going to give a lot of exciting moments to all the fans of Dragon Ball. The only thing fans have to do is sit back patiently and wait for the anime to finally begin.
Sky Is The Limit For Goku And Vegeta
While the Moro Arc is certainly going to be exciting for Goku and Vegeta, fans know that this is not going to be their highest level of strength. Goku and Vegeta will undoubtedly grow even beyond the level they achieve in the Moro Arc. Even though the Dragon Ball Super manga is currently on hiatus, fans know that even now, the two can still reach higher levels of strength. This is especially true with enemies such as Black Frieza now having shown up. With that, it has clearly been established that the sky is the limit for them at the moment.
At the end of the day, Goku and Vegeta will continue to grow strong for as long as Toei Animation wants to make money out of Akira Toriyama's work. Fans should expect more transformations and more flashy battles to happen in the future, although whether that should be the case or not is a different discussion entirely.
