Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed a release date of July 17, 2025 release date for the first part of the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Dragon Ball Daima DLC. Developed by Asura's Wrath studio CyberConnect2, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was launched in 2020, but has received multiple updates and DLC expansions in the years since.
Though the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot base game mainly covers the best story arcs in the Dragon Ball Z anime, developer CyberConnect2 has taken the opportunity to really expand Kakarot's coverage through DLC that explores other corners of the Dragon Ball Z franchise, like an immersive look at the fall of the Saiyans in the Bardock: Alone Against Fate DLC. The game even added the tail end of the original Dragon Ball storyline via the 23rd World Tournament expansion.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot - Best DLC Packages, Ranked
The DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakaraot adds a lot of content to the game, and these are the DLC packs that provide the best experience.
Now Bandai Namco has confirmed that fans can look forward to Kakarot's Dragon Ball Daima DLC launching on July 17, 2025. With a full title of "Daima: Adventure Through the Demon Realm," the DLC will take Kakarot players through Dragon Ball's latest and most unusual anime spin-off, Dragon Ball Daima. As per the show, the Daima DLC will give players control of de-aged, kid versions of Goku and his friends as they journey through the fantasy-inspired Demon Realm on a new quest.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Daima DLC Launches on July 17, 2025
The Dragon Ball Daima DLC for Kakarot is actually a series of three separate packs. The first Daima DLC pack launched on February 27, 2025, and mainly consisted of bonus items for players who purchased the season pass bundle. The July 17 release date is for Part 1 of Daima: Adventure Through the Demon Realm. Earlier leaks placed the release date between July and September 2025, but with a firm date set for part 1, it's clear that fans won't have to wait through the whole of the quarter to get their Daima fix.
The second half of the DLC is expected in early 2026, which will give players plenty of time to get the most out of Part 1, or even pick up and start the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot base game if they're planning to pick it up based on their enjoyment of Daima directly. While online reaction to Bandai Namco's release date announcement was generally positive, a few criticized the company for "padding out" the release windows, allegedly to make less new content seem like more, thanks to the longer intervals between drops.
Though the Dragon Ball Daima anime finale has already aired, with no officially announced plans for a continuation as yet, it looks like the show will have a chance to remain at the top of fans' minds thanks to additions like the Kakarot DLC and other cross-media promotions. Should a new anime season be announced, fans can expect Daima to become a more durable pillar in the Dragon Ball franchise structure.
