Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is filled to the brim with substories (side quests) that players can complete, which typically fall into the category of fight this enemy or find me this item. This fetch quest heavy design is questionable at best, but it's usually a straight forward process thanks to the world map. However, there are a few that are more difficult, such as finding Yajirobe as Piccolo, finding DBZ: Kakarot's frozen rabbit meat, and getting the royal tomato.

During the Tough Break for Turtle substory, players are tasked with retrieving some eggs, some rice, and a Royal Tomato, but unlike most substories, the tomato isn't just found or retrieved, it's bartered. Players will find a farmer in the middle of the region (Southeast Mountains area) with Goku's home that will give players the required Royal tomato in exchange for some of DBZ: Kakarot's Great Energetic Fish.

How to Get Great Energetic Fish for Royal Tomato

This may lead some players to think they should go fishing to find the required material, but no, it's not that straight forward. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players will need to travel to the top left of the map with Goku's home to a fishing spot near a village. Once there, players will see someone talking about Great Energetic Fish, helping them narrow the area.

Players can then look to the birds overhead to determine where they should dive underwater, which will cause players to go through a school of fish and gather yellow orbs (the fish). Once they have ten, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players can simply return to the farmer, trade for the Royal Tomato, and go about their business in the game's overarching story.

While this is one of the more complex substories available in the game, this shouldn't panic players. It's far from the norm and is one of the more interesting to boot. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot players could, for example, forego this quest altogether and miss next to nothing for their playthrough. Of course, fans of Turtle and completionists will find it hard to say no to this nonetheless.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
