In an interview with The Best War Games, producer Masaaki Hayasaka explained that the upcoming remake of Dragon Quest 3 is a great entry point for newcomers.

A Twitter post from the official Dragon Quest account confirmed that Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake has gone gold, meaning that the game is fully finished and ready for shipment when it releases on November 14. The post contained an image of series co-creator Yuji Horii alongside the remake's producer, Masaaki Hayasaka, posing triumphantly while holding copies of the new game.

Fans were excited in the replies, with many stating that they had already pre-ordered the game and would be looking forward to playing it on release day, while others expressed concerns about the game's alleged censorship of certain character models.
