Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is a brand-new version of the much-loved JRPG Dragon. Quest 3: The Seeds of Salvation. Fully rebuilt from the ground up by Square Enix, the remake features gorgeous visuals presented in a 2D style to preserve the game's vintage feel. However, this is not simply a visual overhaul. DQIII Remake also features a wide variety of new story, gameplay, and quality of life content, bringing this classic game into the modern era. It was the goal of Square Enix to provide a game that both old and new players could enjoy, and Dragon Quest 3 Remake fully succeeded in this task.

Square Enix has taken one of the most beloved Dragon Quest games and given it a heavy visual uplift along with a slew of quality-of-life improvements.
Released on November 14, 2024, to mostly positive reviews, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake remains the quintessential JRPG. Placing you in the role of the Hero protagonist, DQIII Remake features a massive, fully-updated game world that improves upon the original in nearly every way. The game's turn-based combat stays remarkably faithful to the original, with the much-needed quality of life improvements proving to be a welcome change. Fans of Dragon Quest 3 need not worry though, as much of the game's beloved story is presented exactly the same as the original, with the new content fitting in perfectly. New players will be excited to know that Dragon Quest 3 is the perfect introduction to the series, with 2025's Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remakes taking place after DQIII chronologically.

Dragon Quest 3 Remake features a massive amount of items and equipment, including a vast arsenal of weaponry for the Hero and their party to use. Also, players will find several collectibles spread throughout the world, most notably the classic Dragon Quest Mini-Medals, of which there are 130.
