Being a free archistaff, this is a great find for the cash-strapped Sorcerer. Harve Village is also where a couple of side quests take place, and it has a port crystal, so it's a great place to check out anyway.

Craos Tine is relatively easy to acquire and offers the Fire element, too, so it can be a great choice to consider.

8 Plucked Heart

Strength

Plucked Heart is a powerful archistaff that also makes for one of of the best early game archistaves too. Available from Celeste's Smithy just a short oxcart ride away from Vernworth, players with a bit of spare gold can acquire Plucked Heart soon after reaching Vernworth right at the start of the game.

Its stats are very good, especially early on, so it might be difficult to find a better option until later on in the game.

7 Talarian White

Talarian White
  • Where to find: Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor

Strength

Magick

263

3

Element

Holy, 100%

Knockdown Power

86

Talarian White is a powerful archistaff available from Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor. This archistaff is a great option for Sorcerers because it grants access to the Holy element, an element usually reserved for the Mage vocation.

Definitely a good option for a Sorcerer Arisen who wants the ability to deal Holy damage without a dedicated Mage Pawn.

6 Solar Providence

Solar Powered Magick

Solar Providence
  • Where to find: Awaran's Arms in Bakbattahl

Strength

50

Magick

299

Weight

2.79

Knockdown Power

88

Solar Providence is a great mid-game archistaff. Available from Awaran's Arms in Bakbattahl, Solar Providence has great stats.

It's a little harder to acquire than some other options as access to Battahl is much more difficult at the start of the game, but it's a fantastic choice for players who snuck in or followed the main quest to Battahl.

5 Anathema

Can Silence Enemies

Anathema
  • Where to find: Very rare drop from Lich, can also be found inside a chest in Dragonsbreath Tower

Strength

65

Magick

312

Weight

3.17

Debilitation

Silence, 17%

Knockdown Power

45

Anathema can be very difficult to acquire since it's a rare drop from the Lich enemy, or otherwise available inside one chest in Dragonsbreath Tower, accessible during the main story quest.

But this powerful archistaff comes with a chance to cast the Silence Debilitation on enemies, which is a nice bonus on top of its fantastic Magick stat. The only downside is how rare this archistaff is.

4 Bane Archistaff

The Bane Of All Enemies

Bane Archistaff
  • Where to find: Volcanic Island Armory in the Volcanic Island Camp; also found at a variety of merchants in the endgame, including Celeste's Smithy, Awaran's Arms, and Roderick's Smithy

Strength

65

Magick

345

Weight

3.33

Knockdown Power

100

The Bane Archistaff is a great choice of archistaff but it's difficult to find because it's mostly gated to the endgame.

Before the official endgame it can be found in two locations, but these locations are quite far across the map from early game locales. But the Bane Archistaff is definitely worth it, boasting a whopping 345 Magick. That said, many players may find themselves waiting until endgame to use this archistaff, but it is worth the effort it takes to get.

3 Lion-Lord's Archistaff

Expensive, But Worth It

Lion-Lord's Archistaff
  • Where to find: Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor

Strength

120

Magick

371

Weight

3.68

Element

Lightning, 10%

Knockdown Power

104

Lion-Lord's Archistaff is one of the best archistaves in the game, and it's available really early on to players with enough gold.

Lion-Lord's Archistaff can be purchased from Grisha's Armory and its stats make it an absolute monster in the mid-game, with power that doesn't drop off until much later. This all comes with a pretty steep price, especially in early game, but the power boost can be worth shelling out the gold.

2 Caged Fury

Open The Cage, Release The Fury

Caged Fury
  • Where to find: Roderick's Smithy, Grisha's Armory, Celeste's Smithy, Awaran's Arms, Brokkr's Smithy (all endgame only)

Strength

120

Magick

402

Weight

3.99

Knockdown Power

110

Caged Fury is a fantastic archistaff with great stats, but it doesn't drop from any enemies, and it's only available in the endgame for a quite high price of 68000G. This means many players won't ever encounter it, but it's powerful and can be purchased for a very reasonable price considering when it becomes available.

Still, it's a great choice for that point in the game and offers the second-highest Magick stats of any base archistaff, and without having to shell out any Wyrmslife Crystals.

1 Dragon's Wit

The Ultimate Weapon

Dragon's Wit
  • Where to find: Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame, purchasable for Wyrmslife Crystals

Strength

126

Magick

440

Weight

4.21

Knockdown Power

120

The best archistaff in the game, Dragon's Wit boasts a massive 440 Magick stat. It's easily the Sorcerer's greatest companion, but unfortunately, it's hard to acquire.

This is an endgame weapon purchasable only with Wyrmslife Crystals from the Dragonforged at a very steep cost. By this point in the game Wyrmslife Crystals aren't as hard to acquire as they were previously, but it's still a big ask.
