Capcom's Dragon's Dogma 2 features a wide variety of different kinds of armor for the Arisen and their pawns to wear, from heavy metal armor to breathable cloth armor. Each Vocation has a particular armor type available, so the choice of armor does vary considerably depending on Vocation.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Best Party Combinations
Dragon's Dogma 2 allows you to have three Pawns in your party. Here are the best combinations to have the perfect setup.
Although the Charming Corset Seeker Token reward is technically the best armor in the game, it's only available as a reward item. So, here are the best Vocation-based armor choices for each Vocation.
10 Trickster: Arch-Conjurer's Robe
The Best Trickster Robe
- How to get: Purchased from Brokkr's Smithy in the endgame; drops from Lesser Dragon
|
Defense |
130 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
182 |
|
Resistances |
+15% Lightning, +5 Blighted, +5 Sleep, +5 Silence |
Simply put, the
Arch-Conjuror's Robe is the best robe available to Tricksters in Dragon's Dogma 2. The Trickster Vocation is an odd vocation that doesn't deal any damage and is only available to the Arisen, so the stat boosts provided by any weapon or armor are mainly for resistances and for the efficacy of the illusion-based weapon skills used by Tricksters.
But for players looking to make the most out of the Trickster and who don't have access to the Charming Corset, the Arch-Conjurer's Robe is the way to go.
9 Archer: Heroic Coat
The Best Coat
- How to get: Can be purchased at the Bay Wayside Shrine from the Dragonforged for 70 Wyrmslife Crystals during the endgame
|
Defense |
180 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
138 |
|
Resistances |
+10% Blighted, +10% Sleep |
A more basic Vocation than most, the Archer Vocation is available for use by both Pawns and Arisen and is a totally non-magical counterpart to the Magick Archer Vocation. Capable of unleashing flurries of arrows, the Archer benefits from the
Heroic Coat nice resistance to the Blighted and Sleep conditions.
The Heroic Coat really is an endgame armor, though, being available for Wyrmslife Crystals at the Bay Wayside Shrine.
8 Mage: Sacral Robe
Simply the Best Mage Armor
- How to get: Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame for 70 Wyrmslife Crystals
|
Defense |
150 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
185 |
|
Resistances |
+5% Fire, +5% Ice, +5% Lightning, +5% Blighted, +5% Silence |
The
Sacral Robe is a fantastic choice for Mages in the endgame thanks to its great Defense and Magick Defense stats along with its very generous spread of resistances to the three major elements plus Blighted and Silence.
Dragon's Dogma 2: 8 Best Spells You Need In You Arsenal
Dragon's Dogma 2 players should seriously consider keeping the following spells handy at all times.
Silence is particularly dangerous for Mages, who need their voices to cast spells, so the Sacral Robe is an excellent pick.
7 Thief: Enshadowed Battle Garb
Sneaky Armor for Thieves
- How to get: Drops from Gorechimera in Unmoored World; can be purchased from Brokkr's Smithy in the endgame
|
Defense |
195 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
130 |
|
Resistances |
+5% Drenched, +5% Tarred |
Available only in the endgame, the
Enshadowed Battle Garb for Thieves is difficult to acquire but definitely worth the trouble. Simply the best armor available to Thieves, the Enshadowed Battle Garb has a good Defense stat and offers nice resistances to Drenched and Tarred. It also pairs very well with the Thieves' characteristic double daggers and is a great choice of armor in the game's final hours.
6 Fighter: Stygian Omen
Strong Defense, Awesome Style
How to get: Purchase from Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame
|
Defense |
200 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
85 |
|
Resistances |
+15% Blighted, +15% Sleep, +15% Silence |
Stygian Omen is a real endgame armor for Fighters which boasts an impressive 200 Defense. This armor can also be equipped by Warriors, but by the endgame, Warriors have a better choice of armor.
But for Fighters, Stygian Omen is as good as it gets. With three helpful resistances to Blighted, Sleep, and Silence, Stygian Omen is an excellent pick.
5 Sorcerer: Silhouette of Sorcery
Robes for the Discerning Sorcerer
- How to get: Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame
|
Defense |
145 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
205 |
|
Resistances |
+10% Lightning, +10% Blighted |
When it comes to Sorcerer robes, there isn't a better choice than the
Silhouette of Sorcery. Also equippable by Mystic Spearhands, the Silhouette of Sorcery offers a fantastic 205 Magick Defense along with a very respectable 145 Defense.
With two useful resistances, the Silhouette of Sorcery is a great pick for Sorcerer Arisen or Pawns.
4 Warrior: Vashara Scaleskin
Superior Defense
- How to get: Purchase from Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame
|
Defense |
220 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
79 |
|
Resistances |
+8% Fire, +10% Lightning |
The
Vashara Scaleskin has a brilliant 220 Defense rating, making it an excellent choice for the Warrior Vocation in the endgame. Although it can be equipped by Mystic Spearhands too, its Magick Defense is somewhat low for that Vocation.
But Vashara Scaleskin is a great endgame armor for Warriors who spend a lot of time under physical attack, and it comes with some helpful resistances as well.
3 Magick Archer: Resonance Armor
Magick Armor for Magick Archers
- How to get: Purchase from Bay Wayside Shrine in the endgame
|
Defense |
155 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
164 |
|
Resistances |
+10% Fire, +10% Ice, +10% Lightning, +20% Burning, +20% Frozen |
Resonance Armor is a good, balanced armor piece for Magick Archers. With lower defensive stats than some other armors - reflecting the Magick Archer's ranged position - the Resonance Armor looks great and offers just enough of what the Magick Archer needs.
With some very nice elemental and debilitation resistances, Resonance Armor is the only good option during the endgame of Dragon's Dogma 2 for Magick Archers.
2 Mystic Spearhand: Elegant Petticoat
A Great Balanced Choice
- How to get: Zachary at the Excavation Site
|
Defense |
160 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
160 |
|
Resistances |
+10% Blighted |
The
Elegant Petticoat offers a good, balanced Defense and Magick Defense boost to the Mystic Spearhand. It may look a little unusual for armor, but that's part of its charm.
There are other armors available to the Mystic Spearhand that offer more in either Defense or Magick defense, and although these are good choices depending on play-style, the Elegant Petticoat is a more balanced choice.
1 Warfarer: Charming Corset
Offers Tremendous Boosts to Stats
- How to get: Trade in 150 Seeker Tokens
|
Defense |
300 |
|---|---|
|
Magick Defense |
280 |
|
Resistances |
+5% Ice, +5% Lightning |
Capable of equipping any type of weapon along with any type of armor, the best armor for the Warfarer is one that fits the specific playstyle of the Arisen. That said, an easy choice of armor for the Warfarer is the
Charming Corset.
Although it's a quest reward, the Charming Corset offers the best boost to stats, and since the Warfarer Vocation has reduced stats compared with other, more focused Vocations, the Charming Corset offers an excellent way to offset this.
