Summary
- Use Mirour Vesture to protect yourself and allies from attacks early on in Dragon's Dogma 2 as a Mystic Spearhand.
- Levitate and hurl objects or enemies with Humble Offringe for a fun combat style similar to Jedi Knights.
- Launch small enemies far away with Unto Skie to remove them from the fight easily as a Mystic Spearhand.
The Mystic Spearhand is one of the most exciting vocations in Dragon's Dogma 2, as players are able to dance around foes at lighting speeds while also using powerful spells, such as the ability to send an enemy flying into the distance.
Dragon's Dogma 2: Hardest Achievements
Dragon's Dogma 2 has several difficult achievements for completionists to sink their teeth into.
As with any Dragon's Dogma 2 vocation, as players level up as a Mystic Spearhand they will gain access to new weapon skills, which can be unlocked with Discipline Points. As only four weapon skills can be equipped at once, players need to know which Mystic Spearhand skills are the best. Unfortunately, this vocation is only available to the Arisen, so players can't watch their favorite Pawns pull off impressive feats with the duospear.
6 Mirour Vesture/Mirour Shelde
A Magickal Barrier For The User & Allies
- Rank: 3/6
- Cost: 450/1600
It's safe to say that fights can get chaotic in Dragon's Dogma 2, so having a barrier that blocks all manner of attacks for a short while is incredibly useful. Players can unlock Mirour Vesture early on at level 3, and while it won't last long, it nevertheless still protects the Arisen and any nearby allies. As it has a very short cast time, it can be used reactively, which adds an element of skill to the ability.
At a later level, players can upgrade this weapon skill to Mirour Shelde, which extends the duration of the barrier significantly and will also be applied to allies who are further away. With team-wide defense just a click away, it's easy to see why this is one of the best weapon skills for Mystic Spearhands.
5 Humble Offringe/Devout Offringe
Levitate Objects Or Enemies & Hurl Them At Other Foes
- Rank: 2/5
- Cost: 300/1300
The Mystic Spearhand is the best option for any who are particularly drawn to the combat style of Jedi Knights, and the Humble Offringe weapon skill is an example of how to make this fantasy a reality. This spell allows players to levitate nearby objects and fling them at the nearest enemy. Small and flinching enemies can also be levitated and subsequently hurled. Sometimes, just sending them off a cliff will do the job.
Dragon's Dogma 2: 6 Things You Didn't Know Pawns Could Do
Players may be surprised to learn that their Pawns can perform the following functions in Dragon's Dogma 2.
With little windup and the ability to take out multiple foes at once, this is easily one of the best weapon skills for Mystic Spearhands, if not one of the most fun. If players choose to upgrade this skill to Devout Offringe, they will be able to levitate targets from further away.
4 Unto Skie/Unto Heven
Launch Small Enemies Far Far Away
- Rank: 5/7
- Cost: 1100/2000
Unto Skie is a channeled weapon skill that allows the Arisen to launch smaller foes far into the distance, completely removing them from the fight. The ability to take out even just one foe so easily is naturally a huge boon, although players must not be interrupted while channeling.
The advanced form, Unto Heven, helps with this by lowering the cast time and also happens to cost less stamina. If players use this skill on larger foes, they will not be flung into the abyss but will still be dealt a solid blow. It is also important to note that enemies who are launched away from battle will not reward the player with XP, nor will they be able to loot the target.
3 Magike Sperepelote/Magike Speregonne
Fire Stored Magick To Cause A Large Blast
- Rank: 6/8
- Cost: 1800/2500
While players will often want to get up close and personal with the enemy as a Mystic Spearhand, they also have access to ranged attacks such as Magike Sperepelote. Players will hold down this ability to charge their duospear with magick, consuming stamina as they do so. When the time is right, they can unleash a mighty blast at the enemy, dealing damage relative to the stamina consumed.
Magike Speregonne, on the other hand, takes all of this further with an enhanced range, more damage, and a faster blast. This is one of the best ways to take out multiple foes at once.
2 Skiedragoun's Fangtooth/Skiedragoun's Feste
Dart Up Into The Air & Plunge Down Onto An Enemy
- Rank: 4/6
- Cost: 700/1600
Skiedragoun's Fangtooth is easily one of the most fun weapon skills in all of Dragon's Dogma 2, as it allows the Arisen to dart up into the air at lightning speeds, before returning just as quickly and impaling any poor foe beneath them. The ability is not only great for dodging attacks but players are actually rewarded with bonus damage when they successfully evade.
Dragon's Dogma 2: 6 Tips For Managing Pawns
There are several ways to optimize the efficiency of Pawns in Dragon's Dogma 2. Here are some methods that players should be aware of.
One of the most surprising mechanics is that players can use this skill on flying creatures, such as harpies, who would be otherwise out of reach. Players will surge up and bring their quarry down to the ground with their spear. The enhanced version, Skiedragoun's Feste, simply adds magick damage to the downward thrust.
1 Dragoun's Stabbe/Dragoun's Foin
Fly At A Target Impaling Them
- Rank: 0/4
- Cost: 0/1000
Dragoun's Stabbe, which can be upgraded to Dragoun's Foin, is the bread and butter of the Mystic Spearhand, providing incredible mobility. Either from the ground or in mid-air, the Arisen kicks off and flies forward. If there is an enemy ahead, this ability will target them with the spear.
With this weapon skill equipped, players always have a way to escape danger and can close the gap on any foe. This is especially true of the superior Dragoun's Foin, which has more range on top of bonus magick damage. It can also be used while exploring to reach high ledges, which players can then climb onto. This can help with finding all those pesky Seeker's Tokens in Dragon's Dogma 2.
