Summary
- Players are already experimenting with the Dragon's Dogma 2 character creator, creating unique and sometimes creepy characters.
- Despite the powerful tools, not every creation comes out flawless, like this one player's truly cursed Winnie the Pooh.
- Players are eagerly awaiting the game's release on March 22 to use their creations in-game.
A Dragon’s Dogma 2 player has attempted to create Winnie the Pooh in the game, with some truly cursed results. Players have wasted no time in messing around with the Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator, but not every creation comes out looking picture-perfect.
Capcom recently gave players access to the Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator, but the game itself isn’t released until March 22. This gives players plenty of time to come up with their protagonist for their playthrough, with all creations moving over to the main game when it launches. Some are using the tools to create characters from their favorite games, such as the Dragon’s Dogma 2 player who recreated Shadowheart from Baldur’s Gate 3. As players become more familiar with the tools, expect plenty more of these amazing creations in the near future.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Player Creates Link and Zelda in the Game
A creative Dragon's Dogma 2 player uses the character creator to put Zelda and Link into the game, as they appear in Breath of the Wild.
Redditor RedH0rn decided to share their Dragon’s Dogma 2 version of Winnie the Pooh with the game’s online community, and frankly, it’s more than a little scary. The Dragon’s Dogma 2 character creator is clearly designed to bring human characters to life, but when players venture outside of that, the results can be quite haunting. This recreation of Winnie the Pooh definitely has a passing resemblance to the adorable cartoon character, but the fuzzy bear can be summed up best by one comment in the thread, “You know, just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you should.”
Winnie the Pooh in Dragon's Dogma 2
What Capcom has achieved with the character creator is extremely impressive. The tools are some of the most powerful seen in a long time, allowing for a huge range of characters to be brought to life. It's fantastic in theory, but as this Winnie the Pooh recreation shows, it isn't always perfect. Another player even created a cursed Pikachu in Dragon's Dogma 2, so there definitely are some limitations to what gamers are able to achieve. Perhaps with time, as mastery of the character creator grows, these types of creations can look a little less creepy.
It's exciting to think that it isn't long before all of these Dragon's Dogma 2 characters will be unleashed upon the full game. There will be a ton of players completing the game with a vast array of weird and wonderful protagonists, alongside equally unique-looking Pawns. No matter what, there will always be something extremely satisfying about seeing characters such as Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator in Dragon's Dogma 2, and it'll only get better after the game launches on March 22.
