As the capital city, you'll have no trouble finding quests and people with problems in Dragon's Dogma 2's Vernworth. People from all walks of life are looking for help from the new Arisen, and that includes orphans living in the slum.

One person in need of help is Daphne, a girl being cared for by the nuns of the Gracious Hand. Daphne has a laundry list of items she needs for various reasons, and while she can't give you much gold for completing her request, she'll eventually give you an item you can't buy in Dragon's Dogma 2 with any amount of cash.

Daphne spends her days and nights on the streets of the slum region of Vernworth. To find her, look for a blonde girl in a black robe with a purple scarf.

When Daphne first speaks to you, she'll mention that she's an orphan living at the Gracious Hand. She wants to show her appreciation to her caregivers, so she wants to give them flowers. Sadly, she can't find any on her own.

To complete her request, you need to find or craft the Bunch of Flowers item. Your options for combining include:

After you bring Daphne the flowers, she'll ask for a silver lump she can make a wish on. You can give her a regular piece of silver ore to complete this request. You can gather silver ore from crystal lumps commonly found in caves, and there are several caves on the road from Melve to Vernworth.

Gold and Medicine

After handing over the silver, you'll have to wait a day or two before you can speak to Daphne again. Once you do, she'll mention that the priests of the Generous Hand need gold to purify the polluted river water. She wants to help out, but she doesn't know where to find any gold.

The best place to find gold ore during the early parts of Dragon's Dogma 2 is Trevo Mine. To reach it, take the road northwest out of Vernworth and follow the west path until you reach the third river. Here's where to find it on the map:

Once you collect two Gold Ore, you can give them to Daphne to complete this section of the quest.

After waiting another day, you can speak to Daphne again and get her final request. The polluted water is making people sick now, and Daphne wants to help by getting some medicine. However, neither she nor anyone else in the slums can earn enough money to cover the price of medication.

This time you'll need five items that can cure the Blighted debilitation. This includes the Detoxifying Decoction and the Panacea item. The recipe for the Decoction is Pitywort and Syrupwort Leaf. You can also buy Decoctions from Philbert's Sundries in the Merchant Quarter for 500 gold each, and he stocks nine at a time.

Give Daphne five Decoctions or Panaceas (or a combination of the two) to complete this quest. Your reward is 900 XP, 100 gold, and a Golden Trove Beetle.
