Dragon's Dogma 2: 6 Ideas For Naming Your Character & Pawns
Naming your character is one of the first decisions that players will have to make in Dragon's Dogma 2. These ideas can get the ball rolling.
How To Wait And Pass Time In Dragon's Dogma 2
To wait and pass time in Dragon's Dogma 2, Arisens can use:
- City Inns
- Camping Sites
- Benches
- Taverns
- Oxcart Couriers
- Home
City Inns
In each Dragon's Dogma 2 city, players can find a cozy and safe Inn to organize their storage, wait, or rest. Each village requires a different sum of Gold, but will provide the same two options:
- Rest till Morning
- Rest till Nightfall
This method is the most efficient way to save players’ progress as when they fall during their exploration journey, or during unexpected battles, they can use the Inn save file as an escape route to get themselves out of a difficult situation.
Camping Sites
To use the Camping Sites to wait and pass time, players must own a Camping Kit in Dragon's Dogma 2. Using the kit at a Camping Site will allow them to cook, manage their skills, and Rest till Morning, or Nightfall.
Camping Sites are Arisens' best friends when they embark on new exploration journeys, especially when night falls. The fallen darkness will hinder players' movement and spawn unique enemies to obstruct them in the wilderness, so using a Camping Site is the perfect solution to transit from night to daytime.
Benches
Benches can be found all around the Dragon's Dogma 2 cities, and Arisen can use them to wait, pass time, or rest for a while. Unlike the other methods, Benches enable more options for players, as while using them, players can doze off to bypass the time from:
- Morning to noon.
- Noon to dusk.
- Dusk to midnight.
- Midnight to Dawn.
- Dawn to morning.
Taverns
At Taverns, Arisens have two options to wait and pass time, which are:
- Buy a round.
- Pass the time.
The first option costs around 2000 Gold and will provide players with a round of drinks, while the second option will be free of charge. Nevertheless, both choices will fast-forward time and provide an efficient way of bypassing time.
Oxcarts Couriers
Players have the option to doze off on an Oxcarts Courier as a way of passing time in Dragon's Dogma 2. These Carts are introduced in the Vernworth capital to serve as an efficient mode of transportation from one city to another. However, they are only operational during the daytime. If players arrive too early or too late, they can wait by the Oxcarts Courier sign or doze off on a nearby bench to pass the time until the Carts are available.
Each Courier ride cost varies from one town to another, but they are meant to cost a fair amount of Gold in Dragon's Dogma 2. Moreover, during the Oxcarts Courier rides, players might encounter raids from various types of enemies, so they should be prepared.
Home
Completing the A Place to Call Home quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will reward Arisens with their own home. Inside the house, players will find a bed that they can use to pass the time from morning to nightfall or vice versa. Furthermore, if players chat with Salvatore in The Noble Quarter, he will offer a fancier house for 200,000 Gold.

- Dawn: The sun’s icon is on the left side
- Noon: The sun’s icon is on the top.
- Dusk: The sun’s icon is on the right side.
- Midnight: The sun’s icon is on the bottom.
The Sky's Different Range Of Colors
Players can check the sky regularly to see how the sky looks at different times in Dragon’s Dogma 2. When it is dusk, the sky will be infused with a pinkish hue, and when it is dawn, it will be painted with a baby blue color. Midnight is marked by its dark-hued sky, while morning and noon are when the sun shines the most. If it’s raining, then Arisens will have to depend on the clock in the pause menu.
