Dragon's Dogma 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to its predecessor, having been dropped some 12 years since the last installment. By all appearances, it has been well worth the wait for many players, as they are treated to a whole new storyline, a significantly larger map, and a host of resources to find and add to form a formidable character build.

A question that has been posed on many players' lips is how best to use some of the more valuable collectibles that can be found in Vermund and Battahl, in particular the Jasper, Onyx, and Tiger Eye stones. These are great sources of income for the right seller, or could be the key to an NPC's heart. In this guide, we will explain what to do with Jasper, Onyx, and Tiger Eyes in Dragon's Dogma 2.

When it comes to these three valuable items in Dragon's Dogma 2, players essentially have two options to part ways with them - either sell them for a significant profit, or gift them to an NPC for a potentially high boost in Affinity. With both of these options, the rewards you reap for your decision will come down to selecting the right recipient according to the stone you are giving away.

Gifting To NPCs

Players who wish to earn favor with a particular NPC in Dragon's Dogma 2 may benefit from gifting a Tiger Eye, Onyx, or Jasper stone to that character. However, before you decide if you want to gift one to this individual, you should first check their preferences. You can do this by going to the pause menu, History, then the NPC Logbook. In the Logbook you will find all the NPCs you have interacted with and a list of facts about them, including what they like. NPCs that like Interesting Items will likely appreciate the gift of Jasper, Onyx, or Tiger Eye from you.

If the NPC you are looking to bond with enjoys Interesting Items, gifting a Jasper, Onyx, or Tiger Eye is a relatively simple process, provided the option is available. To gift an item, simply press the Square/X button when involved in dialogue with the character and your items inventory will pop up, allowing you to select the gift and deliver it to them. You will know the NPC appreciates the gift from their response, as well as the color of their cheeks. If the NPC's cheeks turn red in a blush, they have responded positively to the gift.

Selling Jasper, Onyx, and Tiger Eyes

All three stones are reasonably valuable at any given time, but the smartest thing to do is to sell each stone in the realm where it is scarcely found. This information is not hard to acquire, as you simply need to view each stone in your Items inventory. In the item description, you will be able to note where the stone is most valued. When it comes to selling Jasper, Onyx, and Tiger Eyes, ensure you make the trade in the following locations:

  • Jasper - this item is in limited supply in Battahl.
  • Onyx - this item is scarce in Vermund.
  • Tiger Eye - this item is heavily sought-after in Elven Lands.

You can get a reasonable price selling these stones in any location in Dragon's Dogma 2, as they go for 800 g each, but it is well worthwhile holding onto them until you are where they are at their highest value, even if it means keeping them in storage until you return to the relevant spot. At their highest price point, you can receive 2,400 g for each stone, so being in the right place will quadruple your profits.
