After Arisens arrive at Melve and deal with the lost memories, they are free to roam around and explore the area in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Since the village is in ruins thanks to the dragon attack, villagers are working together to rebuild the destroyed rubble.

Upon speaking with Lennart after spending a while in Melve, he asks for a favor that involves some saurians, as the monsters are a threat to the village. Accepting the offer will trigger the Nesting Troubles Quest in Dragon Dogma 2, where players must practice their throwing skills.

How To Complete The Nesting Troubles Quest In Dragon’s Dogma 2

Before triggering the Nesting Troubles Quest, Lennart will explain that while rebuilding Melve, he noticed that a couple of saurians have a nest nearby across the river. While the monsters haven’t caused any trouble yet, their proximity is worrisome to the villagers, which is why you must get rid of them.

Lennart instructs Arisen to collect some exploding casks located near the village’s entrance and throw them at the nest to immediately kill the saurians. Head to the entrance gate and go left to find barrels tied with red ribbons. These are the exploding casks.

Hold one and walk north to the edge of the cliff to find the saurians' nest. Aim the barrel at the nest and release it, forcing the monsters to jump into the water. Report back to Lennart, who thanks the players and proceeds to ask one more favor; throw a jar of poison at the nest to make sure that the saurians will stay away from the village for good.

If players like a bit of a challenge, it’s possible to go to the nest and fight them normally without using any exploding casks. However, keep in mind that the early-game Arisen will have some trouble fighting the saurians, as the monsters deal heavy damage and have greater health than other common enemies like goblins.

Immediately close to the entrance is a jar of poison left by Lennart. Pick it up and walk to the cliff, then aim exactly at the nest so that none of the poison gets into the river. Next, throw the jar to coat the nest with poison. Once the final step is complete, go back to Lennart, who thanks the players again and offers them a decent reward. For their troubles, Arisens will receive 1250 G, 400 XP, and Stoutness Extract.
