To note, this is certainly not the only location populated by hobgoblins, and players will start fighting them quite frequently upon passing into Battahl. That passage does not occur until much of the Vernworth storyline has been resolved, though, and it may take players many hours to reach that point in Dragon's Dogma 2's main campaign.
