Dredge Coming to Mac & Mobile on December 18
Dredge is notably available on a wide variety of platforms and was even added to the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup back in May. But developer Joel Mason revealed the studio still has plans for the title. On Twitter, Mason revealed Dredge was scheduled for release on Mac, iOS and Android on December 18, with the developer additionally sharing screenshots of the App Store page for the upcoming port. Mason also confirmed iOS and Mac users will have the opportunity to play a demo version of the game and try it out before committing their wallets to a full purchase. IOS and Mac users also have the option of pre-ordering the game, though Google Play Store users will have to wait a bit longer as the studio is currently dealing with some issues with the platform.
The Dredge Mobile Port Might Feature DLCs
Mason did not include details regarding whether Dredge's Iron Rig and Pale Reach DLCs would be included with the Android and iOS versions, though the developer notably claimed the mobile ports would feature the full game. Nonetheless, it remains unclear if the DLCs will be packaged with the initial purchase of the game or if Black Salt Games plans on implementing in-app purchases similar to the game's Steam and console versions.
While fans of the franchise will likely be thrilled with the mobile ports for the beloved fishing game, they're also eagerly awaiting news regarding the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Dredge. The movie itself is being produced through a partnership with Story Kitchen, which also previously produced both of the beloved Sonic the Hedgehog films and the upcoming third film.
