In Dune: Awakening, players gain Skill Points every time they level up, which can then be used to unlock new Skills, including Passives, Techniques, and Abilities. Not only are there plenty of Skills to unlock in a player's starting class, but they can also unlock Skills from other Schools by finding trainers. For example, players can unlock the Planetologist Skills early on.

However, players may eventually regret some of their Skill choices or want to try an entirely different build without having to start the game all over again. Thankfully, this is possible by resetting all the Skills and choosing again.

How To Respec Skills In Dune: Awakening

Respecing Skills in Dune: Awakening is thankfully free and easy, although there is a small caveat, which shouldn't matter most of the time. This caveat is that Skills can only be reset every 48 hours, meaning players will want to avoid messing around too much when assigning their new skills. These 48 hours are based on real-life time, not time spent in the game.

To respec, players don't have to drink a specific potion as is the case in some other games, instead, they just need to head to the Skills menu. Here, there is a button titled 'Respec Skill Tree'. This is Down on the D-Pad for those using a controller or R for those using a keyboard and mouse.

The only Skill that will be retained after resetting is the one from the player's starting class. For example, when a Bene Gesserit respecs, they will still have the Compel Skill.

After accepting, players will now have all their Skill points restored, allowing them to unlock what they want, although Skills higher up in the tree still must have Skills before them unlocked to become accessible.

Tips For Respecing Your Character

Naturally, players are free to respec when they want (aside from the 48-hour limitation), but it's advisable that they unlock all the Skill trees first, which means finding all the trainers.

This will allow them to fully mix and match, taking their favorite Skills from each class, some of which may combine extremely well. Trainers can also level up Skills, so consider unlocking Skills that you can easily level up with a nearby trainer.

With the game currently having a max level cap, it's not possible to unlock all the Skills in the game, but it is possible to unlock all the Skills in a single class and many others.
