The game gives you different tools to mine different resources, and Static Compactors are one of them. These Compactors make the job of collecting Spice or Flour Sand a lot easier. You'll need to use it to create a pile of Sand or Spice, which accumulates in a single place for you to take back to base. Here's how to make this great tool and how to use it properly.

How to Craft Static Compactors in Dune Awakening

You'll be able to unlock your first Static Compactor after reaching the iron-tier of products in Dune Awakening. This will occur when you finally migrate from South Hagga Basin and travel to the Vermillius Gap region. After unlocking the Static Compactor's Schematic in the Research tab, you can craft it in the General Fabricator using 10x Iron Ingots and 7x EMF Generators.

However, as you progress through the game, you'll be able to unlock the Industrial Static Compactor in the aluminum tier. This offers a much better yield than the regular static compactor, but can only be crafted in the Survival Fabricator. In addition to the need for a new fabricator, you'll also require the following materials.

225x Water
24x Aluminum Ingots
14x EMF Generators
12x Cobalt Paste (created by using Etheryite Crystals inside a Chemical Refinery)

How to Use Static Compactors for Spice & Sand Flour

Now that you've crafted a Static Compactor, head to the desert areas and look for a plume of white smoke erupting from the sands. This is where you'll find the Flour Sand used to make Silicone Blocks via the Chemical Refinery.

If you're looking for sand, you'll need to wait for a Spice Explosion or look for purple patches of sand out in the desert. Regardless of whatever you're trying to farm, simply head to the location in a vehicle and make sure you're close to a landmass.

Start shooting the compactor into the sand and wait for the pile to form on the surface. There are multiple piles on the sands. Collect them and reach a safe land mass, as the worm will be right on your tail. This is because the frequency and sand movement of the Static Compact attracts worms quickly. So, this is how you make and use Static Compactors in Dune Awakening.
