Plastone and Basalt Stone are two mid-to-late game resources that players will eventually want to acquire in Dune: Awakening. To save players from hours of searching, this guide will show players an easily accessible location to farm Basalt Stone, and then walk them through the steps and other materials needed to make Plastone.

How To Make Plastone In Dune: Awakening

Dune Awakening - Medium Ore Refinery

Plastone is a building material in Dune: Awakening, used to construct sandstorm-resistant bases.

Constructing A Medium Ore Refinery

To make Plastone, players will need a Medium Ore Refinery, which itself can be a bit of a challenge to research and construct. To research it, 300 Intel Points must have been spent, and then the following materials are required:

Once they have this superior refinery, players will need the following materials to produce 250 Plastone:

  • 50 Water
  • 200 Basalt Stone
  • 1 Silicone Block

Water is required for a number of refining processes, so beyond staying hydrated, players will want to learn how to gather and store great quantities of water. Basalt Stone is arguably the hardest resource to come by, and so players can check out where to find it below. As for Silicone Blocks, they are made in a Chemical Refinery, and players will need to gather Flour Sand.

Dune Awakening: What's the Max Level Cap?

While there is a level cap in Dune: Awakening, players won't have to worry about it for some time.

Where To Farm Basalt Stone In Dune: Awakening

Before players go searching for Basalt Stone's location in Dune: Awakening, they will need to have a Cutterray Mk. 3 or an even more powerful mining tool. Otherwise, they will only be able to pick up individual stones.

While Basalt Stone can be found in much of the northwest corner of the map, including The Western Shield Wall, The Eastern Shield Wall, The O'odham, Mysa Tarill, and Sheol, there is one part of Mysa Tarill, which is arguably the most accessible.

Make sure you farm lots of Basalt Stone, as Plastone requires 200. The Dune Buggy can help with large mining expeditions.

Just west of Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharb and north west of the Western Vermillius Gap, players can enter Mysa Tarill, hugging the large rock wall to the north for safety. Here they will find a small rock structure with some Basalt Stone, and just west of there are tonnes of the stuff on the rock structure where the Crossroads Trading Post is found. There are no enemies here, so players can freely farm lots of Basalt Stone without having to delve into late-game regions.
