With Dungeon Fighter Online offering players a unique take on the MMORPG genre with its beat ‘em up mechanic, it’s natural for fans to delight in the game’s fast-paced and visually-stunning playstyle. Contrary to rather slower rotations in other games, the fast and loose approach to combat with a rather in-depth character progression system makes Dungeon Fighter Online a breath of fresh air to fans of anime MMOs.
As such, it’s natural for players to try and find ways to play Dungeon Fighter Online alone to relish the game’s offerings before dwelling on multiplayer. However, with the game’s expansive Class roster and Advancement options, players may find it slightly challenging to find their ideal Solo Class. Players can figure this out easily once they identify their ideal play style.
10 Blade Master (Slayer)
Those among the Slayers who choose to temper their skill with the blade as a means to counteract the Ghost Demons inside their arm become Blade Masters. In the Dungeon Fighter Online MMO, he is known for his weapon specializations, being capable of changing combat styles depending on the weapon equipped. The Slayer relies heavily on an extremely mobile playstyle, dishing out incredible damage with the right skill rotations.
Although possessing a steep learning curve and middling defense, identifying the “flow” of the Blade Master with his mobility options gives him massive solo potential. It’s important to note which weapon to use as well, as a lot of their attacks often give the Blade Master special properties or give opponents extra debuffs. For instance, the Katana can inflict Signature Wounds, the fast Lightsabre can apply Shock, and Bludgeon often Stuns enemies. Meanwhile, the Short Sword has extra range, and the slow Zanbato gives Super Armor.
9 Monk (M. Priest)
Whereas the Priest sanctifies unholy ground with their giant weapons, the Monk is trained specifically to purge evil from the world. Toting their newfound hand-to-hand skills, the Monk’s Dungeon Fighter Online mechanic relies heavily on dishing out damage up close and personal. Their fighting style resembles heavily that of boxing, with attacks that allow them to secure range from foes across all distances. Their constant buffs make them a viable option for soloing, especially once players get a hang of their rather expansive combo list.
Similar to other melee classes, the Monk’s toolkit relies heavily on canceling attacks into each other for added boost of speed. Their reliance on mobility is paramount, as they are the less durable variants of the Priest. Instead, Monks need to master their dodging in order to outlast foes, with skills such as Ducking Dash, Sway, and Quick Rebound serving as the backbone of consistent damage-dealing move-then-attack combos.
8 F. Striker (M. Fighter)
Compared to most Fighters, the Female Striker has dedicated the rest of their training to perfecting their strength and finding new ways to showcase them. As a result, this Dungeon Fighter Online class ends up being one of the fastest among the Physical Classes. The F. Striker’s rotation relies primarily on the Muscle Shift Passive, allowing them to freely cancel Strike-based skills into another without many intervals.
On top of the F. Striker’s decent defense, the Muscle Shift mechanic practically transforms her into the archetypal brawler. Unlike other classes, the F. Striker has moves with a lot of juggling potential, giving her a lot of room to dish out multiple attacks with ease. Not only that, many of her moves secure distance disadvantages, as her attacks are often accompanied with jumps, pushes, and dashes. Combined with Super Armor that boosts durability, the F. Striker is a fast and loose soloist that leaves little room for punishment.
7 Rogue (Thief)
Instead of persecuting Thieves among the Dark Elves, their Ruler instead gathered them into a special forces unit. Known as the Rogue, she elevates upon the Thief’s speed-based toolkit and sends it into hyperdrive, now boasting incredibly-high damage numbers courtesy of access to criticals and juggling opportunities. Players of Dungeon Fighter Online looking for a new approach to gameplay may want to consider soloing with the Rogue, especially after getting the hang of their rather technical skillset.
At its core, the Rogue gives players plenty of room for experimentation, courtesy of most skills being cancellable. Aside from the Rogue’s incredible moving speed, they have excellent mobility in the air as well. When put together, these elements allows the player to tinker with rotations on the fly and adjust to situations. Not to mention, a lot of the Rogue’s skills give them boosts to criticals (Shake Down) and evasion (Swift), drastically boosting their survivability.
6 M. Ranger (M. Gunner)
Outlaws at heart, the Male Rangers from the Lawless District are known for never missing their mark. In the context of Dungeon Fighter Online combat, M. Rangers not only boast a flashy aesthetic with their skills but pack a punch. He is an extremely mobile ranged combatants with higher-than-average DPS to boot, allowing players to enjoy combat from the safety of long distance. The M. Ranger makes for a viable solo fighter, provided players get patient in terms of both positioning and keeping his rather fragile body away from danger.
Thankfully, the M. Ranger’s toolkit boast multiple options both for offense and mobility. They can move into and out of combat quickly, with buffs that boost their critical hit performance. These skills are on top of attacks that often launch enemies into the air, opening a lot of juggling opportunities and consistent AOE.
5 Secret Agent (Agent)
Compared to the contracted Agents, the Secret Agents of the government are trained to be skilled manipulators and even more precise killers. Their expertise with the kodachi and the handgun make them viable across all combat ranges, allowing soloists to enjoy a versatile experience with a class that can adjust to almost any circumstance.
Similar to other speed-based builds in games like Overwatch, a lot of the Secret Agent’s skills are cancelable, giving them a lot of room to dish out extremely deadly attacks on the fly. Attack buffs and the AOE opportunities for Shadow Step, on top of combo strings from the likes of Target Shooting, Consecutive Shots, and Aimed Shot, allow the Secret Agent to adjust to any number of foes.
4 Glacial Master (M. Mage)
Some Mages dare venture into the icy wastelands of the north to learn about Water Magic, to the point of forsaking all other elements for the sake of mastery. As a result, Glacial Masters augment their Water and Ice mastery with the Abyss, granting them access to weapons of pure ice that no fire can melt. In terms of Dungeon Fighter Online gameplay, the Glacial Master is a unique twist to the Male Mage, as their newfound access to melee weapons gives them room to smoothly transition from up-close fighter to long-distance magic user.
As a result, the Glacial Master ends up one of the most combo-intensive classes in the game. They’re more than capable of rotating combos as a melee fighter but still have room for ranged pokes and AOE bursts. Soloists will appreciate the Glacial Master for Immortality, making it useful to tank early-game dungeons. Not to mention, Ice Body and the occasional freezing effect makes the Glacial Master a menace even in basic encounters.
3 Elven Knight (Knight)
Fairies who dedicated their lives protecting the Grand Flores have given up the bow for the sword and shield, deciding to become Elven Knights. Throughout the Dungeon Fighter Online experience, the Elven Knight is a fulfillment of the healing tank trope. Her viability as a solo class banks heavily on her ability to both protect herself and still dish out consistent damage to foes.
Center to the Elven Knight’s strategy is the Chain Rush, which allows the Elven Knight to cast and then immediately cancel out other skills. When timed correctly, not only can Chain Rush allow the Elven Knight to cast shield attacks more often, these attacks receive buffs as well as a pushing mechanic. This rather niche playstyle goes well with most of the Elven Knight’s toolkit, which revolve around either doing attacks with her shields or boosting defenses with them.
2 Dragon Knight (Knight)
Known for their ferocity in combat and their affinity for dragons, the Dragon Knight is arguably one of the most popular classes across Dungeon Fighter Online gameplay. At its core, the Dragon Knight acts like a jack-of-all-trades on the DPS department, capable of dishing out both devastating AOE attacks on top of the usual up-close burst attacks. Soloists who want a big puncher with a flair for theatrics would appreciate the air-oriented Dragon Knight, as its combos often rely on backsteps and jumps to fully work out in a player’s favor.
While the Dragon Knight has straightforward skills fit for newcomers, mastering them to fulfill their damage potential certainly has its difficulties. However, players who manage to pull this off will enjoy high DPS courtesy of smooth rotations and multiple juggling opportunities. This is on top of the Dragon Knight’s decent survivability, courtesy of naturally-high durability as well as multiple Super Armor buffs.
1 Berserker (Slayer)
Essentially Slayers who succumbed to the frenzy of their Kazan Syndrome, Berserkers are the pinnacle of demonic energy. In the gameplay of Dungeon Fighter Online, their vicious playstyle makes them a relatively easy class to get into that remains technically-intensive in the later game, especially due to their tanking nature similar to games like Destiny 2. Soloists in particular may find the Berserker an ideal class to play with, since they do have a natural self-heal that triggers at 35-percent HP.
Given their nature for fixed damage, soloists can focus more on weapon refinement. Unlike other classes that rely heavily on targeted attacks, most of the Berserker’s skills deal burst damage. Combined with their decent mobility, the Berserker simply needs to focus on consistent rotations and proper dodging to jump the gun on bosses to eliminate them much faster than anticipated.
Dungeon Fighter Online is available to play in the PC.
