Dungeonborne gives players a good bit of creativity when creating their characters. Once a class and race have been chosen, they are set in stone and can't be changed, but luckily, it's easy to make new characters and switch between them whenever you want and play with friends if you want.
As you play with a character longer, they will level up and get some permanent bonuses, making you less likely to create a new character just to change their appearance. Luckily, the game lets you change your appearance whenever you want, along with the option to hide your helmet so you can show off how your character looks.

How To Change Your Appearance In Dungeonborne
To change your appearance in Dungeonborne, go to the, "Character List" option while in camp. While you can easily create a new character here to look different, select the character whose appearance you want to change and press the orange square button with a mask in the middle in the bottom left of the screen.
You won't be able to change the race, gender, or class of your character, but will have access to the full character customization menu to remake your appearance as much or as little as you'd like. Once you've finished, you'll need a Mirror Of Myriad Forms to finalize the changes. This item can be found in a dungeon, but can also be purchased after redoing your character for 1,500 Gold.

How To Hide Your Helmet In Dungeonborne
There are additional ways to customize how your character looks that can be found by going to your stash and selecting, "Appearance" at the top of the screen. In this menu, players can apply skins to:
- Face/Helmet
- Clock
- Back
- Held Torches
- Healing Potions
- Kill effects
All of these bonuses are purely cosmetic, including the one where two swords from The Witcher can be equipped on your back. These cosmetics offer no bonuses and may even make you more noticeable due to how flashy they are, and can be purchased in this menu.
Going back to the helmet option; the first option will be to hide your helmet. Select this option and press, "Apply" along the bottom right of the screen to forever hide your helmet, until you disable the current setting using the same method. Helmets can still be equipped, but won't appear in any menu or during the game. Kill animations are a bit more flashy, and can't be purchased, instead being rewards for completing Clotho's Trial.
