Your success in Dungeonborne largely hinges on your ability to stay alive in its treacherous dungeons. With dangerous monsters and enemy players lurking in every corner, it's crucial that you're always prepared for battle and manage your resources efficiently. One of the important resources in Dungeonborne is your health.

Unlike most games, healing in Dungeonborne isn't as simple as chugging down health potions when you're low on HP. There is a strategic nuance to healing in this game, and your ability to master them is critical to your survival, and ultimately extraction.

How Healing Works In Dungeonborne

Dungeonborne - Healing Potion and Bandage

Healing in Dungeonborne is governed by three mechanics: consumables, classes, and environmental objects. There are a variety of consumables in Dungeonborne, but only two of them cater to healing, including the standard Healing Potions and Bandages. However, consuming healing potions doesn't restore your HP instantly. On the contrary, it places a buff on your character that slowly restores 10HP per second over a period of 30 seconds. It's also important to understand that chugging down multiple healing potions doesn't necessarily increase your healing rate.

On the other hand, bandages are quicker than healing potions and instantly restore 300HP when you patch yourself up. The downside, however, is that using bandages comes at the cost of a long, interruptible animation. So, you're better off using bandages outside of combat.

Besides consumables, the Priest class, in particular, grants you the ability to heal yourself and your allies.

Priests cannot heal Death Knights and Cryomancers, as both of these classes are considered undead.

Finally, you can find healing hand statues, called Blessing of Healing. These statues can be typically found in areas inhabited by challenging enemies. Activating these statues allows you to regain lost HP completely. These statues are rare to find, but they are worth looking out for to avoid depleting your resources.

How To Get Healing Items In Dungeonborne

Dungeonborne - Crafting and Purchasing Healing Items

There are three ways you can acquire healing items or consumables in Dungeonborne:

  • Loot: You have a chance to acquire healing potions and bandages while exploring the dungeons. You can also collect them from corpses.
  • Merchant: Healing potions and bandages can also be purchased from the merchant at your camp for 500 gold and 400 gold, respectively.
  • Craft: Finally, you can craft a healing potion and bandages for 3 Cloudy Life Essence, which are easily found while exploring dungeons.

If you're just starting out in Dungeonborne, it's recommended that you stock up on healing potions and bandages in your inventory at the camp. You can achieve this endeavor by focusing on farming gold.

So, a basic farm loop would involve jumping into a session to collect as many valuables as possible and then extracting to your camp. If you happen to find rare items that are typically identified by purple backgrounds, they can be sold for a hefty price of over 5,000 gold.

Purchasing healing potions and bandages is the most reliable way to ensure you're always jumping into a dungeon session with the necessary resources while increasing your chances of survival.
