Jelly Tunnels is the fourth dungeon in Dungeons of Hinterberg, and once you head inside its watery caverns, the reasoning behind the name quickly becomes apparent. While there is no major boss to battle, Jelly Tunnels is all about puzzle platforming and problem-solving. Specifically, you must use your Ball & Chain plus Wrecking Ball abilities to navigate a series of jelly-style platforms. Additionally, the puzzles get a lot trickier toward the end, with the final puzzle in Jelly Tunnels being particularly challenging.
Dungeons of Hinterberg: Giant Cavern Walkthrough
This walkthrough will make it easy for players to reach the end of the Giant Cavern, a puzzle-filled dungeon in Dungeons of Hinterberg.
You'll need all your wits to progress through Jelly Tunnels' puzzles, which are about timing or using your abilities to unlock the way forward. Fortunately, this walkthrough can help fans get past this tricky dungeon and get their logbooks stamped in little to no time.

How To Start The Jelly Tunnels Dungeon
The Jelly Tunnels become available once players complete the Abandoned Mineshaft in Dungeons of Hinterberg. You can then explore Doberkogel to find The Jelly Tunnels dungeon in the middle of the Lake. You can find this to the southwest as pictured on the map above and by following the wooden signposts and simply crossing the water. There are also a few minor monster enemies in the area and an optional chest.
All Jelly Tunnels Puzzle Solutions In Dungeons Of Hinterberg
On entering the Jelly Tunnels, head forward, and you'll soon come across a gap in the path to get across. Use your Ball & Chain ability to attach it onto the green platform in front by aiming for the circle in the middle and press Retract to pull the platform toward you, turning it orange. You can now safely run across the platform.
Repeat this process to traverse the next three gaps around the corner. An orange wall will block your path, but you can use your Ball & Chain on the green block next to it to unblock the way. Climb over the orange block and follow the path around to find the first major puzzle in the Jelly Tunnels dungeon.
Jelly Tunnels Puzzle 1 - Wall And Scale
For the first puzzle in Jelly Tunnels, you'll find yourself standing on a wooden platform opposite a rocky wall and a big drop. Use your Ball & Chain to hook onto the green platform on the wall to pull it towards you, allowing you to run across and climb upwards onto the ledge marked with white paint on the right. A set of rocky barriers blocks your way, so use your Ball & Chain again on the wall to the right to reach the next wooden ledge.
Ignore the pile of rocks on the left for now. Instead, look up to see a ledge containing an optional chest. Use your Ball & Chain to create an orange diagonal path across the gap. Run across it to open the optional chest at the top — plus get a health and MP boost if you wish. Turn around and cast your Wrecking Ball ability so it rolls down the orange platform and next to those rocks in front from earlier. Press detonate when it hits the rocks to smash them to pieces and open the path forward. Follow it around and use your Ball & Chain on the green platform to the left to raise the platform you're standing on upward, letting you jump across to the white-painted wooden ledge on the right.
Once you're safely across, keep following the path and defeat the small gang of monsters that appear down the corridor. Keep moving forward, and you'll arrive at the second puzzle.
Jelly Tunnels Puzzle 2 - Circular Platform
Jelly Tunnel's second puzzle focuses on a rocky platform you can raise up or down using your Ball & Chain ability as pictured above. Keep it lowered for now, and follow the path up the slope to the left past the broken ladder. At the top, you should see a white-painted ledge on the central circular structure that you jump toward and grab.
Grab the ledge and climb onto the orange, bridge-like platform on the left. Follow it onto its adjoining ledge to find another set of jelly-like platforms that your Ball & Chain ability can change. Before doing so, place a Wrecking Ball on top of the diagonal platform behind it and then quickly use your Ball & Chain ability on the jelly platform in front of you. If done quickly enough, this sends the Wrecking Ball sky-high across the gap to destroy the purple, slithering vines above and releasing the broken ladder to the ground.
Drop from the ledge and climb the ladder to the top, where you can find an optional chest to the right — plus more health. Leap across the gap to climb up to the top of the central circular platform. Use your Ball & Chain ability on the green jelly platform at the top to lower the entire structure and open up an orange platform, which you should traverse to reach the next stage of the dungeon. Here, you use the Waystone on the left to save your dungeon progress, marking around the halfway point.
Jelly Tunnels Puzzle 3 - Rotating Platforms
As soon as you enter the next room at the top of the stairs, several waves of enemies spawn. Defeat them while watching out for the fire emerging from a panel on the floor. Here, you can spot the dungeon exit portal above, but you've got one last tricky puzzle to complete.
For the final puzzle in Jelly Tunnels, follow the path into a watery cavern with three platform mechanisms. When you use your Ball & Chain on the jelly platform to the right, these platforms begin to rotate. To get across, you'll need to stand on the green and orange floor buttons separately to place these rotating platform mechanisms so that each jelly platform faces the correct way for you to jump onto them. The green-lit floor button moves the green-lit platform, and the orange-lit button moves the orange-lit platform. Stand on the buttons to position the platforms as pictured below to reach the other side:
The final platform is the trickiest to reach and requires some clever timing. Move the platforms so that both face the directions pictured below. This means when the platforms rotate, you should be able to reach them just by standing close to the edge of each orange ledge and casually hopping across without doing a massive jump, which is likely to fail.
Once you've got the platforms set up correctly, it can still be quite tricky to navigate the platforms successfully, albeit not impossible, as shown in the video below:
Afterward, head along the final tunnel, around the corner, and to the top to find another green jelly platform on the wall to the right. Pull it with your Ball & Chain ability to raise a set of yellow stairs.
Head across the stairs to reach the dungeon exit point — congratulations, you made it!
Don't forget to open the optional chest and get your book stamped before exiting through the portal.
